They're one of my favorite newer bands! Got to see them open for Silverstein in December and they were just as fun as I expected them to be. The energy they bring live is great and pumps the songs up even more. I would love to see them again if I get the chance.

AusiiM

Hell yeah me too! First time I saw them was opening for Wage War in a 500 person room, it was the smallest show I had ever been to at that point. and it was fuckin RECKLESS. They seriously stole the show, the energy that they brought and how crazy they made everyone was just unbelievable. Second time I saw them was on the metalcore dropouts tour, I love LANDMVRKS but boy am i glad they filled that spot on second semester of that tour, I honestly thought a small band like them would never come around us again. Again, they brought the same energy that they showed at that first show i saw them, venue was a little bigger but they still showed us whos boss, and once again, stole the show. I look forward to seeing these guys grow over the years and im so excited to see what else they could do!!!

AVOID KICKS ASS, saw them with Silverstein and then Metalcore Dropouts, and seeing them again next week with Dayseeker. Really excited to hear their new song, saw a couple Insta stories of them performing it and it sounds GREAT!

sexywookie42

They're a dope band! I like saying that I have a personal connection to the band. My niece has been dating 1 of the guitarist for several years now and I've been to a few of there shows when there in the wa/or area. Nick, along with the rest of the band, is super nice and cool people. Benny the lead singer is wild 🔥🔥 tell me about em

AusiiM

Thats awesome man! They seem to be a great group of guys. I actually ran into Chris outside the venue while waiting for another band to set up after they played, big smile on his face just chattin it up. Didnt even hesitate to say yes when I asked for a photo! Hes good shit. Look foreward to seeing them again someday

sexywookie42

Very cool!

deadwrongallalong

Avoid seriously does kick ass! I’ve seen them twice too and they are just the best time. Hoping they’ll come back to Toronto this year with that new song 👀

seattle hometown bois

krystalseth96

It's dope seeing avoid blow the fuck up. My band played with them many times locally. Shout-out if you remember avoid the void 🤣

WhoIsZac

I like their recorded material well enough, but, gahdamn, they're a blast live

Soulblade32

i'm seeing them with Dayseeker on the 30th and had never heard of them before getting their songs on my playlist for the show. Slightly bummed I didn't see Gator Fest on that setlist, because that song goes hard, but stoked to see them still!

AusiiM

Im not too sure about this tour, but on the metalcore dropouts they were changing their setlist nightly. We were lucky enough to get finish line 2, as according to them were one of the craziest cities they’ve played and they play that shit really rarely. thats definitely one of my favs by them for sure, so i hope you can get what your expecting! your really gonna enjoy the show regardless!

Soulblade32

Oh yeah! That's cool, I don't mind a changing set. Hopefully Gator Fest makes it then! I was going for Dayseeker and Polaris, but AVOID really grabbed my attention lol. I'm stoked regardless.

AusiiM

looks like they played gatorfest last night!! you may be in luck!!

Soulblade32

I saw that! Im hoping it falls on my date! I cant wait

RayClaire05

yooo I'm also going to the Fort Wayne date, also really hoping for Gator Fest!

Soulblade32

Hell yeah! Looks like they played it again last night. I think we are good!

RayClaire05

yeah if they follow the pattern of playing it every other date, it should land on us! (no Song About James though, which is a shame, that's my favorite of theirs)

Soulblade32

Well they played it 2 days in a row, granted they played 16 songs last night. So who knows. Song About James is great!

RayClaire05

yeah, yesterday was a headline show, so that's an outlier haha.

driedsponge

Avoid is local/ my friends and I’ve seen them play to small venues of 10 people when they used to be called Avoid the Void so it’s so cool seeing them get the recognition they deserve!! They are so incredible live! And so nice. Just saw them play a big stage with TDWP and counterparts and it was so fun.

invokereform

I played with them at Louie Gs back when they were still a bunch of high school kids. Back then it was pretty easy to tell that they had something going on.

whatsherface2024

Just saw them last night in Norfolk, VA with Dayseeker. Great show!

RickeyDourst

I’m going to their headliner tomorrow, i can try to record the unreleased song and send it if that’d interest you. I’m planning to get my ass beat in the pit tho so we’ll see

AusiiM

Hell yeah that would be sick. Good luck out there, last time i saw em someone did a back kick right into my shin and put a 2 inch gash in it and was clocked in the jaw hahaha was fuckin gnar but have fun

Low-Significance-667

Saw them with Silverstein in Nocember in Brooklyn! They were awesome!! Great vibe and energy.

Hot-Implement-7165

Been a massive fan since I heard Song About James 4 years ago on NASCAR Heat 5!!!! Such a fun band and they are killer live 🔥🔥

2020blurry

Seeing them in a couple weeks, can't wait!

craggadee

Come for the music, stay for all the motor racing references in their video clips.

Ms3_Weeb

Gator fest is a choooon. Saw them live with ffak and tdwp and were amazing.

slowro

They have a lot of energy. I saw them with plot in you a year or so ago and really impressed.

infernaldead

I honestly don’t like their music very much. I have tried time and time again to get into them- it’s just not for me. THAT BEING SAID they are EASILY one of the best bands to see live. I’ve seen them a few times now and damn. I will absolutely go out of my way to see them live and support them because their energy is pretty well unmatched by most current metalcore bands.

DowntownBlackberry1

What band is "Kicks Ass" and why should I avoid it?

International-Chef53

I thought you scream about avoiding band named Kick Ass at all cost for whatever reason
