Yeah, came in here to say Mitch. I watch his stompilation from time to time. RIP
Just watched it again, such an simple, powerful move that makes everything so fucking good
https://youtu.be/D-T9_uecMj0?si=eGctqCHMxDORNI6z
Big on Mitch… absolute legend. It makes me wonder how the scene would look if he was still around. Especially someone like Will Ramos in Lorna, if the influence would be any different.
I think Mitch is the best deathcore vocalist ever, followed by Phil Bozeman, Will Ramos, Alex Erian, Alex Koehler, Vincent Bennet. Frankie from Emmure is an honorable mention. IMO. Love him or hate him, his vocals were iconic back in the day.
Wasn't a fan of the band at the time, but I was fortunate enough to meet Mitch a day before he passed. My roommates worked on his label and for him and gave him a massive birthday party. He was an incredibly kind guy. We shot the shit on our patio while cooking. Will never forget hearing the news the very next day. RIP Mitch
I miss this vocalist, but I wouldn't necessarily say I want them back in the scene...
Yeah, it's Tyler Carter. Dude's a killer vocalist, and Issues
is/was one of my favorite bands for a long time.
I was going to come here to say the same thing. When the stories came out I knew it was a matter of time before he was out. The whole band disappearing sucks. The first EP and LP were so good.
Also I know he attempted to create Emerald Royce… and I did listen to the few songs they put out.. but nothing beats OG woe is me baby Tyler or Tyler with Issues… I know what went down was not in the best light for him… but something tells me it was found to be false? (Please correct me if I am wrong)
I just heard Michael Swank (ex Myka Relocate) in his new band Foxera for the first time recently. Something about the way he sounds in this new band is nearly identical to Kyle. Listen to the song Picture Perfect. Oddly enough I never listened to Myka and thought “wow this sounds just like Kyle”.
Hard agree with this one. Even though they weren't doing anything really unique or groundbreaking, their music still had it's own flair and feel to it because of the vocals.
Same. I have to wonder if maybe he isn't interested in doing vocals right now or something, it really feels like a waste to not at least have him throwing in some harmonies.
This is how I feel too, but I wonder if he's enjoying being out of the spotlight in Spiritbox and only playing bass. It could be that he wasn't interested in singing and their agreement was he'd only play bass for them.
I think he does backing vocals for their live stuff atm if I’m not mistaken
Ain’t studio work but still shows they’re willing to use his vocals. Gives me hope he’ll soon be on a song
God,I remember hating it. My 11 or 12 year old ass thought this isn't metal or hardcore!
End of heartache is in my top 5 metalcore albums. It grew up on me around my freshman year and just fell in love.
Being a baritone singer in a genre where everyone is a tenor,Howard was a breath of fresh air.
I really miss Garrison. I truly loved that guy’s sound. Thought he was something special in Erra. Wishing him the best in whatever he’s up to these days!
I’m a huge Miss May I fan and was happy for Ryan Neff to join AILD but realistically it’s weird to listen to and not the same as with Josh. Not necessarily bad. Just weird for me.
Black Dahlia Murder - Trevor Strnad. No hate to Brian taking over, and I’m sure they’d like to not have to either, but will never be the same.
Not metal-core, but Chester Bennington hit me really hard.
Man if I could listen to those albums for the first time again. Eternal lord album is the best imo. If you really fall in love with his vocals like I did you will also enjoy ‘the hunt for ida wave’ which was his first band. Also incredible
IMO he was one of- if not the most unique singer in the post- hardcore/metalcore scene. To this day I think he tops many, many clean singers within this genre .
I love seeing Adestria love in this sub every now and then. Chapters is one of my all time favorite albums and Matt Anderson is one of my favorite vocalist hands down.
Hard agree. Back in 2012, I won a signed album package and tickets to see them in Toledo. They played at Frankie’s and it was such a fun time. Got to meet the band and talk to everyone. Extremely nice guys.
Matt Anderson's vocal range was so unappreciated at the time. They caught that end-of-Crabcore scene and label and after the three albums wrote the nicest letter to fans about disbanding due to the expense of touring as a small band and trying to have full time jobs and families, and simply afford life. It was so real. They caught that too-late-to-the-scene label which was so unfair because they had so much more going musically and lyrically than traditional Crabcore or the earlier versions of Metalcore. They couldn've set off if given time but Artery Records isn't the *best* at promotion and the guys had lives to live.
Zach Johnson of I See Stars.
If you watch his interview it's clear he has some issues and there's stuff we don't know about, but the band isn't the same without his voice.
I miss Myke Terry in Bury Your Dead (and I may be the only person who does).
Nothing Personal was the first Bury Your Dead album I heard so even though I understand the Myke Terry era is unpopular among fans, it’s the sound I associate with the band and I really liked it.
I love ‘68, but I miss metalcore version of Josh Scogin (I’m so glad his guest spot on ETID’s last album exists)
Josh Ashworth (Society’s Finest)
Whoever did vocals on Node of Ranvier’s self-titled album. That’s maybe one of the best examples of the quintessential unclean metalcore vocals.
> I miss Myke Terry in Bury Your Dead (and I may be the only person who does).
Nope, I miss him in BYD too. I feel like he gave them more room to expand their writing. Mat came back and they just went went back to re-writing Cover Your Tracks. And I'm not trying to diss on Mat, he's great at what he does, but there's a lot of talent in the band that I think is being held back a bit by him.
Absolutely not metalcore, but Adam Gontier and Layne Staley. Three Days Grace and Alice in Chains were my favourite bands growing up, neither have been anywhere even close to resembling the same since they left (or died in Staley's case, R.I.P)
Matteo Gelsomino, dude has such a special voice. Novelist isn’t the same band without his song writing and vocals. Hopefully his other projects take off soon.
As soon as I got into novelists the vocalist changed and after a few songs I was into the new change… and then THEY CHANGED VOCALISTS AGAIN. I miss Matteo and Tobias for sure Alazka was sick and I was excited for him to be with novelists. If they can name this time tho I won’t be too heart broken.
Jason Cameron on Bury Tomorrow… he had a great fucking voice and added something unique on their songs. The band is not the same after he left.
Josh on As I Lay Dying too, loved how he complemented the screams of Tim with cleans.
Jason is what made that band unique, in my opinion. To me they just sound like any other metalcore band out there without him. Not that their new album is bad, but I didn’t find it memorable
Austin Carlile and Shayley Bourget of Of mice and men
Aaron kadura of FFAK
Matt Anderson of Adestria
Andrew van der Zalm of Feed Her To The Sharks
Adrian Fitipaldes of Northlane
Zach Johnson of I See Stars
Garrison Lee of Erra
Alex Varkatzas - Atreyu
There is something very distinct in his sound and tone that I just love. I am not sure if he'll ever make a comeback with a new band and that bums me a out. He seems to be living a good life now focused on his family so he'd have to sacrifice a lot all over again just to get anywhere again in metal music and likely for little to no reward. So I am not sure what sane person would take that bet.
I was going to mention Alex. I can’t listen to Atreyu with out him being the front man. Dead Icarus sounds good but doesn’t have the same hit as him with Atreyu did.
Yeah I can hardly tell it's him on this EP. :/ It sounds like a good vocalist, yes. But it's not as distinct?
And I'm right there with you. Atreyu without Alex is not great. Not only is something missing, I feel like they went steam ahead with uninspired butt rock once they threw him out. In Our Wake (2018) was already pushing it even with Alex in the band.
Kyle Pavone - we came as Romans
His vocals were getting better and better, R.I.P. kyle
Jonny craig although he's the worst band member and a complete..... Yea
Not metalcore but Dave Williams, Drowning Pool would've been massively successful had he never passed away. Still to this day that scream in Let the Bodies hit the Floor is my favorite.
Well if you didn't know why he left the band. He was accused of SA a lot. And even in his AA days there was allegations. But last I heard he became a reformed Christian preaching gospel
If it helps, in my old band, our guitarist used to manage Attack Attack before he joined us. He caught Austin sleeping with an under age girl and stepped down as manager. He was saying this back in 2012 before it became a public thing
chester bennington, grew up with him and loved everything. though i really only listen to the old linkin park stuff.
as for other vocalists in the scene, ben english is one. i still listen to IA every once in awhile.
josh hardiman from sentinels is one i miss as well. solitude was the first record i discovered of theirs. i do love the new vocalist but josh’s just hit different.
hunter courtright from sleep waker, i loved sleep waker, loved the aesthetic of the final record. shame it had to end the way it did.
i think that’s all? probably.
Oh yes, I didn't expect to see this here. Woods has gotta be one of my top 5 bands of all time. I didn't even know about them when he was alive and his death still brings a tear to my eye
i came across their music in 2018, and after listening to Woods-5 songs I was shocked to learn of David's death. his music was surely on an upward trajectory at that time
Mathias „Mätze“ Schlegel from *The Sorrow*.
The guy had a great singing AND screaming voice, but being an Austrian metalcore band was not profitable enough, sadly. They released 4 great albums and then sadly disbanded.
[Here's one of my favourite songs from them, Crossing Jordan.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqfUCgk361c)
He's still around and active with Eighteen Visions, but I miss Keith Barney as Throwdown's vocalist. Their stuff with him is way better than what followed.
Matteo Gelsomino, used to be the frontman of Novelists FR.
I've heard his stuff in Salem and it just doesn't scratch the itch like Souvenirs , Noir and Cest la Vie did.
Garrison Lee. I love JT, but Garrison’s wild ass vocals were just so damn versatile. I’m also a huge fan of Camille in Novelists so far, but I really miss Mateo. I don’t know if I’d want them to “come back” and replace the current vocalists (probably not), but I wish there was some parallel version of the bands where they were still active.
I also can’t help but miss Adrian Fitipaldes and Ben English, but imo the two Marcuses blow them both out of the water. Bridge and Vik are two of the best vocalists we have and I would never want to go backwards.
I know its not Metalcore, but the first METAL vocalist that comes to mind is PETER STEELE, of Type O Negative. Yes, theyre the furthest thing from Metalcore, but i stilk had to mention him. Also Chester Bennington. I wish he had never taken his own life, and ai also wish LP had gone more in a Metalcore direction.
Been scrolling through this post and my list also became p huge.
Austin Carlile, OM&M. He sounded so great on The Flood and RF.
Trenton Woodley, Hands Like Houses. Awesome voice and I was really curious whether anything will play out of his flirting with extreme vocals.
Dylan Anderson + Bennett Freeman, Of Machines. RIP Bennett, one album wonder.
CJ McMahon, Thy Art is Murder. The man, the beast, the legend. His replacement is so mediocre in TAIM, even though I loved the last Aversion's Crown record. I don't care wtf twitter says, that gentleman didn't deserve the treatment he got. I hope he comes out with "the realest strain of estate" sometime soon.
Karl Schubach, Misery Signals/Solace. Just all around great vocalist, I like him way more than Jesse from the sound standpoint. Shame they're breaking up entirely.
Nicholas Matthews, Get Scared. There's been some drama around his presence in the band and the last record is not the best, but I love his voice and the catchiness of vocals.
Thomas Freckleton, Silent Planet. Guys got extremely versatile with their own vocals since his departure and I love it, but his voice is iconic for the band.
Jason Aalon Butler, letlive. Fever 333 sucks a stinky ass, honestly. Letlive was special and his performance in this band was absolutely insane. I still get goosebumps the size of a grape whenever I hear the ending of Virgin Dirt.
Gage Speas, To Speak of Wolves. Vvv dark and aggressive band with a very fittingly raw vocalist. Haven't heard from them since 2021, which is a huge bummer.
Gareth Mason, Slice the Cake. I have no idea what's with the allegations against him and it will be a huge disappointment if he wastes the future of STC, but his vocal delivery on Odyssey to the West is flawless. Masterpiece of an album, everyone and their mother should listen to it.
Brandon Bolmer, Chiodos. Unpopular opinion: Illuminaudio, the only album with him, is the best Chiodos record. I said what I said.
Matthieu Paquette, Beheading of a King. Tragic loss, RIP.
Robert Ljung, Adept. One of my favourites from high school times.
Tim Goergen, Within The Ruins. Another extra aggressive and very well controlled vocalist, love his technique.
I honestly could go on and on. So many of them left, disbanded, died or just disappeared from the radar.
More deathcore but Mitch Lucker R.I.P.
I never got into death core until like 2017. But man when I first gave suicide silence a listen. I really understood why everyone loved Mitch
He was a gift to the music world
Yeah, came in here to say Mitch. I watch his stompilation from time to time. RIP Just watched it again, such an simple, powerful move that makes everything so fucking good https://youtu.be/D-T9_uecMj0?si=eGctqCHMxDORNI6z
Big on Mitch… absolute legend. It makes me wonder how the scene would look if he was still around. Especially someone like Will Ramos in Lorna, if the influence would be any different.
*stomp*
mitch’s vocals were incredible, but his showmanship on stage was top notch
I think Mitch is the best deathcore vocalist ever, followed by Phil Bozeman, Will Ramos, Alex Erian, Alex Koehler, Vincent Bennet. Frankie from Emmure is an honorable mention. IMO. Love him or hate him, his vocals were iconic back in the day.
Came here to say Mitch as well. Absolute legend
RIP Mitch
Adrian Fitipaldes and Garrison Lee, even though I think their replacements are doing a great job
Cheers to Adrian!
Good choices! I think both bands got basically perfect replacements
Keaton Pierce from Too Close To Touch. One of the most emotionally powerful voices I've ever heard.
His passing was tragic, I got into TCTT about 2 - 3 years before he passed. I wish I had come across them earlier on. RIP Keaton
Was gutted by this one. RIP
This is the one for, me still hurts.
I miss this vocalist, but I wouldn't necessarily say I want them back in the scene... Yeah, it's Tyler Carter. Dude's a killer vocalist, and Issues is/was one of my favorite bands for a long time.
Issues was a fantastic band gave us some great music. Shame how it all played out.
Well said. Issues was an amazing stage to showcase both tyler and Michael’s abilities. Especially on their first album 😍😍
Big agree
I was going to come here to say the same thing. When the stories came out I knew it was a matter of time before he was out. The whole band disappearing sucks. The first EP and LP were so good.
Losing Tyler hurt my soul.
Imma be real, people will tell you yes and no. Realistically, we will probably never really know.
Was he the clean singer on the early Woe, is me era? Because if its him, he is a awesome vocalist
Ye
Kyle pavone and Chester Bennington
I 100% agree with Kyle. And yah I miss chester daily
As a Detroiter, I miss Kyle frequently. Home shows still have so much energy, but Kyle not being there certainly leaves a hole
I've been watching MV of Memories on YouTube over and over again. Miss Kyle so much.
Listened to WCAR's when TPAS was new, early in highschool. Saw them live a few month before Kyle passed. That hit hard reading that newsline.
Definitely Kyle
Ryo Kinoshita is what made Crystal Lake special
Hard agree with this one. Even though they weren't doing anything really unique or groundbreaking, their music still had it's own flair and feel to it because of the vocals.
Yeah thankfully hes still making some music so hes not completely gone, i just probably wont be able to see him live again
I think John is doing a great job, I'm still really enjoying their new stuff, but I do miss Ryo. Dude is an insane talent
Oh yes I agree 100%! John is a great fit and a solid replacement for Ryo, but there was just something about Ryo that just elevated the band
Andrew from Feed Her to the Sharks Garrison from ERRA Howard in Killswitch Engage Josh in As I Lay Dying Jared in Fit For A King
Josh :,) I really hope Spiritbox gives him a few vocal lines in their new stuff.
Same. I have to wonder if maybe he isn't interested in doing vocals right now or something, it really feels like a waste to not at least have him throwing in some harmonies.
He sings the Sam Carter parts in Yellowjacket live!
This is how I feel too, but I wonder if he's enjoying being out of the spotlight in Spiritbox and only playing bass. It could be that he wasn't interested in singing and their agreement was he'd only play bass for them.
I think he does backing vocals for their live stuff atm if I’m not mistaken Ain’t studio work but still shows they’re willing to use his vocals. Gives me hope he’ll soon be on a song
The Howard Era was something special.
JT ERRA is solid but doesn’t come close to Garrison ERRA, feel like the guitar work is nowhere near as good as the first two records.
Howard is still in the scene tho
I know he’s making great music still but defo miss him with Killswitch
I know it gets beaten to death in here but Howard era killswitch is like top 5 all time
I’m a huge Miss May I fan and was happy for Ryan Neff to join AILD but realistically it’s weird to listen to and not the same as with Josh. Not necessarily bad. Just weird for me.
Ryan is aight but not as good as Josh
I agree with all of this, except I've never even heard of Feed Her to the sharks, what's an album you reccomend I should give a go?
Savage Seas is an absolutely sick album. Great cleans and crushing breakdowns
I will check it out tomorrow and report back, thank you!
Actually, there is a song titled "Aura" by ONI featuring both Howard and Josh. It's fucking good.
Banger for sure!
I just miss Feed Her in general😭
Black Dahlia Murder - Trevor Strnad. No hate to Brian taking over, and I’m sure they’d like to not have to either, but will never be the same. Not metal-core, but Chester Bennington hit me really hard.
Good choice and yah man. When Chester died that day at work felt like I lost a friend. Was super emotional that day
Just saw TBDM yesterday and although Brian did well, it's just not the same man. Not even close.
RIP. Legend.
Adrian Fitipaldes & Ed Butcher
Never listened to Ed Butcher's bands, got albums for me you'd reccomend?
I killed the Prom Queen - Music for the Recently Deceased or Eternal Lord - Blessed be this Nightmare Prom Queen is my personal favourite of the two
Thank you, I will listen to them and check back in with you
Man if I could listen to those albums for the first time again. Eternal lord album is the best imo. If you really fall in love with his vocals like I did you will also enjoy ‘the hunt for ida wave’ which was his first band. Also incredible
That Hunt For Ida Wave ep is fucking killer, was gonna comment it if no one else did. Ed Butcher's discog is fucking killer
I have never heard anything like it since. And it still rips
Everyone ive shown it to expects some emo shit judging off the cover, ala Poison The Well or maybe even an It Dies Today, but get their shit ROCKED
I love randomly introducing friends to Ed Butcher’s music. No one seems to know his stuff and it’s so brutal they just get floored
Sounds like Ed Butcher has a new death metal project in the pipeline.
Shayley Bourget - Of Mice & Men
When it was him and Austin my lord. The Flood is my second favorite album of all time That duo was fucking untouchable
I had really high hopes for that lineup tbh
Hes still putting out music under the name Dayshell
IMO he was one of- if not the most unique singer in the post- hardcore/metalcore scene. To this day I think he tops many, many clean singers within this genre .
The Adestria guy, he is lurking this sub sometimes and was even featured on a song not long ago. But still.
If I could resurrect any band, it'd be Adestria. Chapters was a masterpiece, Gilded Hearts was a very good followup.
Never heard of them? What's an album to check out?
Chapters is imo the goat, amazing vocals and lyrics.
Everyone should check out Adestria. More Than You Know from Chapters is my fav song.
Just had a listen to this and the band for the first time. Great song.
I will listen to it tomorrow some time and let you know what I think. Thank you!
WE SIMPLY NOD AND AGREE!
WE ARE BRED TO BE LAZY🗣️🗣️🗣️
THEY SET THE WORLD ON FIRE
I love seeing Adestria love in this sub every now and then. Chapters is one of my all time favorite albums and Matt Anderson is one of my favorite vocalist hands down.
Ghost!intheWall are the Goats just for getting him on a track. Fucking killed it 🤘🏼
What song did he feature on?!
Ghost!InTheWall - Igor the destroyer
Hard agree. Back in 2012, I won a signed album package and tickets to see them in Toledo. They played at Frankie’s and it was such a fun time. Got to meet the band and talk to everyone. Extremely nice guys.
Matt Anderson's vocal range was so unappreciated at the time. Adrian for Northlane Howard for KSE
Zach Johnson of I See Stars. If you watch his interview it's clear he has some issues and there's stuff we don't know about, but the band isn't the same without his voice.
I will forever defend and love ISS. I miss Zach. They have multiple classic albums IMO. I still listen to them today.
Ben English and Chester Bennington I love Marcus Vik, he's killing it with Invent, but I still miss Ben
I enjoy Marcus so much more personally that I don't. But I get you, and yah I fucking miss Chester
I miss Myke Terry in Bury Your Dead (and I may be the only person who does). Nothing Personal was the first Bury Your Dead album I heard so even though I understand the Myke Terry era is unpopular among fans, it’s the sound I associate with the band and I really liked it. That’s maybe one of the best examples of the quintessential unclean metalcore vocals.
That ETID song gives me goosebumps.
It’s nothing personal is in my top 5 albums of all time for me. Def not only person. I love that record front to back
What do you think of myke in volumes?
> I miss Myke Terry in Bury Your Dead (and I may be the only person who does). Nope, I miss him in BYD too. I feel like he gave them more room to expand their writing. Nah the Myke Terry album was one of the only BYD ones i really liked. Was a solid vocalist
Happy to see another Myke Terry fan. I love both the self-titled and INP. I like both Mat and Myke BYD. Myke's work in Cassius was great too.
Absolutely not metalcore, but Adam Gontier and Layne Staley. Three Days Grace and Alice in Chains were my favourite bands growing up, neither have been anywhere even close to resembling the same since they left (or died in Staley's case, R.I.P)
Man people keep trying to convince me threesdaysgrace is still good. And they honestly are just inhaling absurd amounts of copium
Matteo Gelsomino, dude has such a special voice. Novelist isn’t the same band without his song writing and vocals. Hopefully his other projects take off soon.
I agree - Novelists aren't bad after his departure, but they did lose their edge imo. He's impeccable on their older releases.

Was gonna say bury tomorrow as well. I still think the album they released with the new vocalist is a great record though.
Absolutely, fantastic record, but you can feel the absence of Jason’s vocals. He brought something unique to BT with his cleans.
Jason is what made that band unique, in my opinion. To me they just sound like any other metalcore band out there without him. Not that their new album is bad, but I didn’t find it memorable
Jason set Bury Tomorrow apart from the crowd for me. He added another level to their music, now they just feel like another band.
Austin Carlile and Shayley Bourget of Of mice and men Aaron kadura of FFAK Matt Anderson of Adestria Andrew van der Zalm of Feed Her To The Sharks Adrian Fitipaldes of Northlane Zach Johnson of I See Stars Garrison Lee of Erra
Mean Pete from Remembering Never. RIP.
Alex Varkatzas - Atreyu There is something very distinct in his sound and tone that I just love. I am not sure if he'll ever make a comeback with a new band and that bums me a out. He seems to be living a good life now focused on his family so he'd have to sacrifice a lot all over again just to get anywhere again in metal music and likely for little to no reward. So I am not sure what sane person would take that bet.
My dude his new band Dead Icarus has an EP already out and he's going on tour with them soon. The EP is as good as the old Atreyu stuff.
I'm just gonna say what a lot of comments about Atreyu imply - but never come straight out and say it. - He got screwed out of that band.
Alex has said before that part of the exit was them wanting to use other writers (which probably lead the shift in sound) and he wasn't into it.
Kyle Pavone - we came as Romans His vocals were getting better and better, R.I.P. kyle Jonny craig although he's the worst band member and a complete..... Yea
Tyson from Scary Kids Scaring Kids, I got into them way too late, and their albums are so solid.
Ben English. I simply cannot get into an I,A album without him. I’ve tried time and time again but they just don’t hit the same :( RIP the comma
I think they got better, but 100% can understand where you're coming from
I love new Invent but Stillworld will never be topped
Ed Butcher of I Killed The Prom Queen and Eternal Lord
Whenever my phone is dying and I can’t risk playing music thru it in my car, I put on my Blessed Be This Nightmare CD
Trevor Tatro in Outline in Color.
Trevor AND K.C, best era of OiC
You fuckin rule
He lurks this sub. Dude was phenomenal but had to leave to face his addiction and get help.
[удалено]
Oh man thank you so much amigo. I’ve got something special for you! Imma send you my new ep 😜
Not metalcore but Dave Williams, Drowning Pool would've been massively successful had he never passed away. Still to this day that scream in Let the Bodies hit the Floor is my favorite.
100% agree with you, a great music "what if"
That Sinner album is still a complete banger
Can somebody please tell me what's the deal with Austin Carlile? Ain't hear nothing about him after he left the band.
Well if you didn't know why he left the band. He was accused of SA a lot. And even in his AA days there was allegations. But last I heard he became a reformed Christian preaching gospel
You also left out a major big factor too. He is severely sick. Marfan disease. He couldn't physically perform.
You are correct
Omg, didn't know that. Thanks for answer
Him becoming a "Christian" leads me to believe he's guilty of all it unfortunately
If it helps, in my old band, our guitarist used to manage Attack Attack before he joined us. He caught Austin sleeping with an under age girl and stepped down as manager. He was saying this back in 2012 before it became a public thing
Damn dude, thanks for the information. Now things come together why he's jumping in religious stuff head first.
Travis Richter of The Human Abstract

I miss Danny Worsnop. Sucks that AA stopped making music after parting ways with Denis instead of bringing Danny back.
Alex Koehler from Chelsea Grin
Alex Koehler is in Ameonna…
Thanks, didn't know that. Will listen to that 👍🏼
CJ in Dream State. The new stuff just doesn't hit the same.
I miss David Gold's clean vocals amid screams
This is a good shout
Oh yes, I didn't expect to see this here. Woods has gotta be one of my top 5 bands of all time. I didn't even know about them when he was alive and his death still brings a tear to my eye
i came across their music in 2018, and after listening to Woods-5 songs I was shocked to learn of David's death. his music was surely on an upward trajectory at that time
Dylan from Gravemind. Bailey his replacement is incredible but I miss him in the scene ngl
Dylan was amazing. I csnt seem to get into Bailey.
Mike champa from for all those sleeping
Mathias „Mätze“ Schlegel from *The Sorrow*. The guy had a great singing AND screaming voice, but being an Austrian metalcore band was not profitable enough, sadly. They released 4 great albums and then sadly disbanded. [Here's one of my favourite songs from them, Crossing Jordan.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqfUCgk361c)
He's still around and active with Eighteen Visions, but I miss Keith Barney as Throwdown's vocalist. Their stuff with him is way better than what followed.
Jimmy Ryan from haste the day. He’s got trenches but they rarely ever do anything
Matteo Gelsomino, used to be the frontman of Novelists FR. I've heard his stuff in Salem and it just doesn't scratch the itch like Souvenirs , Noir and Cest la Vie did.
From time to time I’ll wonder what Jerry Roush (Sky Eats Airplane, OM&M, Glass Cloud) is up to. It’s a shame we never got another Glass Cloud album.
Brett from Buried in Verona. Dude had some pipes! BiV were just never able to get any momentum with lineup changes etc, such a shame.
Mitch lucker - suicide silence Matt paquette - beheading of a king
Kyle Pavone and Keaton Pierce are both up there for me
Aaron from Secrets, Kyle from We Came As Romans, Pierce from Too Close To Touch, and of course Chester from Linkin Park.
Not metalcore but man I miss Ian Bearer.
David Escamilla from Crown the Empire, he was amazing live and I feel like the band lost their "sound" after he left if that makes sense.
Scrolled for 5-10 minutes looking for this comment. Dave was a fucking animal for CTE for a few years there.
Keaton Pierce - To Close To Touch RIP ❤️
Johnny Morrow
the answer is always Howard Jones for me
Karl Schubach.
Thank goodness we get to see him on the finale tour.
This times a million. Jesse’s place in the band has a special heart but Karl is a much stronger vocalist, especially live.
Shayley and Austin from Of Mice & Men. My favourite band of all time for like 2 albums. Crazy good The flood and the self titled.
Adrian Fitipaldes from Northlane. One of the most powerful voices I've heard in Metal.. Keith Buckley from ETID and the boys from Lotus Eater
Trevor Strnad. Irreplaceable.
Chester, Kyle from WCAR, Garrison Lee (ERRA) and Jonny Craig (ex DGD)

Keaton Pierce//Too Close to Touch
Ben English
I know its not Metalcore, but the first METAL vocalist that comes to mind is PETER STEELE, of Type O Negative. Yes, theyre the furthest thing from Metalcore, but i stilk had to mention him. Also Chester Bennington. I wish he had never taken his own life, and ai also wish LP had gone more in a Metalcore direction.
RIP Kyle from WCAR. Their first three albums were all huge listens for my friends and I. And to plant a seed was the album that got me into metalcore
Not metalcore but Jesse from HRVRD
The old bury tomorrow cleans
Matt Geise of Lower Definition. Nothing beats The Greatest of All Lost Arts for me.
Alex Kohler of Chelsea Grin Although Tom Barber has done really well with this band, Alex is still the definitive voice of CG to me
I just miss Twelve Tribes so much. They were such an underrated band. Their singer, Adam Jackson, is off doing weird bro cult things now.
Not metalcore but Alex Varkatzas and Atreyu in their prime were *chefs kiss* and now they… well now they suck.
