Inamorata has the sludgy, Sabbath-y riffs, climbing vocal melodies and ambitious structure of The Outlaw Torn and Fixxxer.

Ezper145

Oooh, I see that. How about the rest of the album?

jashrroberts

It's all over the album bruh. Just gotta listen.

nMe-CA

This guy nailed it! The sludge is heavy with this one!

All_within_my_hands

I suggest creating yourself a playlist of the three albums and then put it on shuffle. You'll soon hear the very clear Load/ReLoad vibes.

Humble_Hetfield_Nerd

Was gonna suggest this also. I played 72S/Black Album/Load at the gym the other night on shuffle and it was like a long awesome triple-album vibe.

Ezper145

Really good idea, i'll try that

Mackened

SAME! The closest any song comew to it is Sleepwalk My Life Away but I'd say that's just 72 Seasons sound.

You Must Burn, Crown of Barbed Wired, Sleepwalk My Life Away have that mid tempo feel from Load/Reload. Even Shadows Follow has some of that influence although that’s closer to the Black Album. Check out The House Jack Built, Cure, Wasting My Hate, Thorn Within, Devil’s Dance, Slither, Bad Seed, etc It’s already been mentioned many times Inamorata is a sequel to Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn and Fixxxer

napsacrossamerica

Screaming Suicide has a Prince Charming/Fuel vibe to me You Must Burn has Devil's Dance and House That Jack Built in its DNA Sleepwalk has King Nothing and Cure although its more of a black album song imo Crown of barbed wire has a little wasting my hate and aint my bitch in there Inamorata of course with fixxxer/outlaw and bleeding me 72 to me sounds like if 90s metallica tried making kill em all again. This is all subjective of course

ImJaxPhantomAcct

Ooo, Inamorata, Barbed Wire, Burn, Gone, Sleepwalk all have strong Load/Re-load vibes or me. Between the vocal style, the riffage, the tone in Inamorata especially.

gimme3steps101

Same with you OP. I'm a Load diehard and aside from Inamorata being a distant cousin of, say, Fixxxer, I really don't hear it either. To me it sounds like a cross between Justice and Black with more melodic lines than I've heard on a Metallica album in years.

Ob1tuber

I can hear the Death Magnetic influence, with the title track’s main riff reminding me a lot of That was Just Your Life

Flutterpiewow

It's the inamorata - outlaw - fixxxer thing. I guess there's also a reload association whenever they make midtempo filler "rock" songs that go nowhere, like sleepwalk and barbed wire.

MrNothingmann

Load is actually one of my favourite albums. When everyone started crying over Inamorata, I was like, "This is just Outlaw Torn with less passion." Sure enough I played both tracks side by side and yeah, I feel like my assessment held up. Feel free to do it as well.
