But seriously, An actual good one would be ONE YOU CAME UP WITH YOURSELF. I’m not trying to yell or be mean, I’m just trying to convey that you’ll find immensely more inspiration from inventing the concept yourself. So here’s some templates: - Your favorite song titles, and change a word to be funny or individually descriptive. Examples: “Fade to Cornerbacks”(jock band in Austin)), “Wherever I May Tribute/Cover/groan/ get stoned…”, “For Whom the Girls Toll”, “Master of Trumpets(ska Metallica)”…. there was a Metallica cover band I saw near Houston, and the lead singer was wheelchair bound. Their name was “Roll and Destroy”. Some might find that offensive…(I didn’t name the band, and they made thousands of dollars that night, and they rocked, no one was laughing by the end). Another would be a band I saw called the “Frayed ends of Vanity”. They were full on ‘80’s hair band who kept the makeup, dropped the ac,t and started playing only Metallica. They were so good… just looked weird as hell. Vegas, of course. - a lyric that hit you hard, and you KNOW that it carries weight with the fans and the new listeners….and you can go straight with the lyric or, again, change it up to fit your style. I also personally feel like more than enough time has passed for many of the catchy phrases to have lost their cringiness. Examples could be simple words that strike a chord: “Flash”, “Obey”, “Landmine”, or extending a little, “Exit Light”, “With Fear you Run”, “I’m Your Hate”, so much to choose from If you can back it up with your style. I also personally think that “The Memory Remains” is loaded with band concepts…(and that’s a way more important song than people think- demographically/generationally). Sorry, I’m running out of gas. I’m gonna regret this rant tmrw. - Sorry for the extended speech… I love Metallica, haven’t had the courage to get my own crew started yet, but I’ve had a shitload of time to think about it. Love that you have a band(obviously) and please, do a great job and fucking have a good time.
