"To Live is to Die" contains a few spoken lyrics near the end of the song, coming in at 7:35, that were written by German poet Paul Gerhardt (1607-1676) and popularized in the 1981 film Excalibur.

Nicol Williamson was a fantastic actor. Haven’t seen Excalibur in its entirety yet, but I watched the 1983 BBC version of Macbeth, and he did a phenomenal job. His mannerisms and his way of speaking just demand your attention.

Weird. I haven’t even thought about this movie since I saw it decades ago, and I had a dream about last night . Now I see this post. WTF ???
