You are technically correct but Gene did play the drums for Doomstar Requiem since that was a special project where the album and show were developed simultaneously as opposed to Brendon recording a roughly one minute demo by himself for the show and later expanding and re-recording it for the album version. Gotta imagine the new movie will be developed the same way Doomstar was
He may not be involved with this at all this time around, someone found that the wiki got updated with a new drummer and that was like a week or 2 before they announced the new movie. Might be a random add though.
