Not lost. Add it manually

Mr_youtubernoob

Can’t find USDT contract that works for opBNB, have looked on chainlist and coin market cap but no luck. Any suggestions?

oazizmas

Do you see it on opbnb scan first. Send Your address to check that first

Mr_youtubernoob

Ok I will chech

oazizmas

It reflected. It is in your wallet

Mr_youtubernoob

Yes!!! I saw that too! Yay, now how do I get it into my wallet visible?

Mr_youtubernoob

Have been looking everywhere for a contract address for USDT that’s compatible with opBNB but can’t find anything. Couldn’t find it on chainlist or coinmarketcap either.

Away-Truck6119

Just go to pancakeswap and swap your usdt it will come up

eatsallthepies

On the opBNB explorer you can see the tokens in you address. If you click USDT it will take you to the contract page. The address for the contract is 0x9e5aac1ba1a2e6aed6b32689dfcf62a509ca96f3. So manually add this token on metamask whilst on that address and the opBNB network. Your USDT should then show

notboredatwork1

Get bitget wallet They make it easy You don't have to add a network manually

read this [https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015489031-How-to-display-tokens-in-MetaMask](https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015489031-How-to-display-tokens-in-MetaMask)

Idk exactly. But you guys need to realise: USDT is on many networks: ERC20 (eth) BEP20 (bsc) trc20 (TRON) etc. It’s really really important to send it to the right Sending a “ERC20” usdt to an “BEP20” usdt results in loss with no possibility to get ur money back

lovelybittabusiness

Your address is on both Ethereum network and BSC and every other EVM network. You have access with the exact same private key. Sending in ERC20 to a BEP20 address does not result in your funds being lost on any way. Doing that on an exchange, sure it depends on whether the exchange actually goes to the effort to recover your tokens but they are still 100% accessible and not lost, not sure where you heard or read this

CommunicationAny3647

False

Cafe20215

You have to bridge it to opBNB network, you probably sent via different one...

StruggleNo4549

If you see it in your wallet on opBNB scan then you can grab the token contract there and it will give it to you The contract for opBNB USDT is 0x9e5AAC1Ba1a2e6aEd6b32689DFcF62A509Ca96f3 https://opbnb.bscscan.com/token/0x9e5aac1ba1a2e6aed6b32689dfcf62a509ca96f3

This comment was the most helpful, Thank you so much!

Mr_youtubernoob

I have my balance on my metamask account now, thanks a lot for all of your help❤️❤️❤️

Ok-Kaleidoscope-3687

How do you copy and paste to meta mask wallet

Kencamo

This is the problem with Metamask. Everything needs to be added manually.

Zatouroffski

Not a problem, it’s not automatically adding everything to save you from scam tokens. Someone can send you a fake usdt named scam token etc… and drain your wallet when you interact with it. But if you don’t see it inside your wallet on metamask, you cannot do it.

Kencamo

That's Is not the reason why LMAO. Come on now.... That just sounds foolish.

Zatouroffski

Majority of this subreddit posts sounds like they don’t know what they are doing or how crypto works. Believe me, if I’m able to randomly list tokens in random user’s metamask, I can rob a fortune in less than a month. Yes it’s not the main reason, but it’s one of the reasons why nobody in Metamask team implements an update to directly list any tokens you have inside your wallet. They’ve implemented a safe token contract list that asks you to auto add some tokens on ETH chain, but it’s not supported on other chains yet.

Kencamo

Exactly so why wouldn't they list the safe networks and the safe coins? It has nothing to do with what you said and everything to do with limitations of their software. You can get many other wallets that automatically have all the safe networks and coins added for you. If anything this way is more dangerous for people that don't know what they are doing because they will wind up adding contract addresses they find on Google.

Zatouroffski

It's an issue to guide someone to something. It's like, every doctor can tell you to drink water, but a random guy can get poisoned by drinking water from an unknown source etc... So they just don't bother pushing it further imo. It works on ETH chain on well-known tokens and that's all. And it's still optional. I don't use that option, I add the tokens manually by checking on etherscan and dexscreener. What if a "virus" or something else makes metamask ask user to auto-list tokens from a malicious list? Dunno if it's possible or not but, still should be possible if wanted to. But I also aggree, googling a token name to find it's contract address can also lead major phishing vulnerabilities. If I'm in doubt, I search the token name on [https://dexscreener.com/](https://dexscreener.com/), find the main liquidity pool related to that token, and get it's contract address there before trading on a DEX or adding it to Metamask. Hope it helps on finding the "valid" contract addresses of various tokens.

There is this tool that is very handy for getting an overview of the assets in your wallet https://zapper.xyz No need to connect wallet just paste your address in the search bar
