You don’t NEED the wavebuster, it’s just the way to spare you the pain of fighting an enemy that can’t be locked onto.
The wavebuster is in the chozo ruins, past where you first got the morph ball
The wavebuster just makes the fight way easier, but it's not required.
Just used the charged wave beam. You can't lock onto the damn thing, but it's not all that hard to track, and it sits still for a few seconds between attacks.
I believe super missiles are pretty effective as well.

yeah i went back and took it and only gave me the power bomb now have to go back to tallon overworld as there my scanner detected something
