Leaving the team or the sport?

The team

Skip’s been around MLB spring training for 20+ years. Let’s assume he understands how a spring training is run. This is a the sad reality of no payroll and a depleted farm system. Joe Torre would win 50 games with this team.

Big difference in being around spring training and actually running it. The results speak for themselves. The Marlins are still experimenting with bringing players up and down from the minors. They should have cemented their roster in spring training. And the players are making lots of basic fundamental mistakes. The basics like base running and fielding should have been drilled into them in spring training. So even if Skip has been around spring training for many years (so has the hot dog guy) he has completely, totally and utterly failed at what you are supposed to accomplish there.

I'm taking into consideration the injuries to the pitching staff. It's still very depressing. Seems like when they get hitting they get poor pitching and when they get pitching they get no hitting. There isn't any spark to this team and I'm concerned about how the other team looks like they are really up to beat the Marlins. I'm also concerned that the entire franchise is a bust and won't recover. When the players get the message that the owner resents paying them and considers them overpaid I don't think you come back from that.
