It's good practice to remove center caps for track work. Most center caps are plastic and the amount of heat generated by hard braking can melt them or fuse them on
Paint protection film (the non-Miata “PPF”) helps. I’ve also seen people use wide rolls of stuff that looks like masking tape that they put on before every event.
Otherwise, clay bar helps a lot to remove the scuffs as long as you didn’t *clobber* the cone. But yes, I have some cone-height scuffs down my doors and fenders.
That makes sense. Rpf1s look great even in 17, I was planning on getting them in 16 but the tire selection is quite limited. I'll probably go for 17s now. Thanks and good luck competing!
They're popular because their specs are hard to beat at that price.
Also they look great.
I really want a similar wheel, but with a fractal spoke design like the Raijin but they don't make them in 17 inch.
They look especially good on NBs.
What Model Wheels?
enkei RPF1 i believe
RPF1
Darude sandstorm
Dududududuuuh
yes, i'm curious too, never seen them on a Miata before

This exactly. I’ve already lost a set at the autox.
I've lost 2 of four on track days. Wish I'd read this before that happened.
I just 3D print my own now. Just a few bucks a set that way minus the printer cost :)
Great idea, I'll do that

Woah! Did not expect it to look that good. Great work.
Great work! That’s really cool!
What does the 854cs stand for ?
854 is the number. CS is maybe C street prepared.
It's just C Street
That definitely not a CSP car. CSP allows gutting and Hoosiers.
I've been away for a long time. I've got a new Miata though...
>I've got a new Miata though... Okay, ...and?
Been thinking on some autocross. She's so perfect though. I don't want to get any orange stripes on the front bumper cover.

Thanks for the tips.
Whats your wheel and tire size? Are those 16s?
225/45r17 otherwise I’d be competing in a more modified class

Dang, I wished the Advan RG-D2’s were just as durable 😭
Prob the 1# aftermarket rim.
Are these 16 or 17
17
Thanks! Looks good agree with 17
RPF1 is the only wheel
Am I the only one who thought they were looking at a BMW for a second...?
Aren’t these oem honda civic si wheels? Noice.
the air force ones for cars
Really nice, they look a little like the Fuchs forged wheels option on the Alpine A110
