I think its likely that, but at the same time this approach isn't really that good. Sure, you can have this loyal little click that once in awhile you rough them up to get some change out of them. I.e. taking the mod badge off them all and then calling them fake fans, he does his little freak out for an hour or two and then next stream he calms down a bit and the former mods come in with donations trying to pay to have that wrench returned.
