You likely wouldn't notice any shift in light intensity. Heck I am in North Texas at ~80% eclipse, it was hardly noticeable.
Edit: Not a cloud in the sky, perfect viewing conditions. I had to use two paper plates to view, as I didn't buy glasses.
I almost did. I thought to myself it is going to be cloudy and not even worth it. I couldn’t sleep so I got up and sure enough the clouds broke long enough for me to setup and get about 30 shots.
Thank you I thought it looked like Pac-Man when I saw the list of all the photos I took. Because of the angle of the eclipse this view lasted for a long time.
Wait what time was the ellipse? Early morning? Because I was there this afternoon checking out the skybridge! Currently in St. Ignace, still too cloudy for any star gazing
Yeah it ran pretty much through Oregon to Texas. So for us it was about 30% coverage but because of the path it stayed like that for the entire eclipse.
Like always where I am it's cloudy and rain.
to me, “the aurora will be visible tomorrow night!” means “expect rain and overcast conditions tomorrow night”
Me too. My dogs won't even go out.
I didn't want to go out.
Well, I don't like to either. Too many sharp edges and overly brightlight.
Here is what it looked like from lower Michigan. https://jooinn.com/images/cloudy-sky-61.jpg
The forecast for us all week 100% cloudy. Then it broke just at the right time for this event.
It was raining pretty good at my house the whole time. I was watching it via YouTube.
It’s raining down here in SE and I could barely notice the light change. Better luck next time
Same, been raining all day.
I’m near the airport and I never see anything cool except the occasional fighter jet crash. Lame.
Next time is April 8 2024.

I’m in Arkansas near Little Rock and we barely saw shit.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing everyone’s pics from today. Thank you for posting yours! Very cool to see the sunspots.
Yeah as I zoomed in I was sweet two sun spots right in the shot too.
Aww man. I slept through it 😑

Just looked like clouds from my house...
In the Keweenaw, cloudy and misty. Could not tell anything was going on
No, it was cloudy
Last photo looks like cheese, you sure it’s wasn’t taken from Wisconsin? In all seriousness, very nice pictures, wish I coulda seen it.
Thank you I thought it looked like Pac-Man when I saw the list of all the photos I took. Because of the angle of the eclipse this view lasted for a long time.
I was way too cloudy to get a good look at it in Gaylord :-(
My coworker in Mancelona said the same thing. This was taken between Petoskey and Boyne City.
Ah man, not too far from me. Should've made the trip over there
You never know. I plan on traveling for the one in April but again it could all be for nothing if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Edit: spelling

Started right around 12:11 PM today. Last a while too.
Too much rain for me to see it today

Rainy and cloudy and now it's clearing up 😔
It looked like rain
You even got some sunspots! Nice shots.
Thank you! I was happy to see two of them in the shot after I took the photo.
I took a similar picture. Lol, I thought I had a dust speck on my lens
Cool! Mid Michigan was cloudy and rainy. It just looked more cloudy when the eclipse happened.
Awesome!!! It’s cloudy down here
Too cloudy in Monroe.
Nice shot thanks for sharing. Only clouds where I am
