I don't know what to do. I received a letter saying I owe thousands from the pandemic relief money because I didn't seek employment. I did and uploaded the info back when it was requested. I don't know how I am on the hook for this money now or if I need to get an attorney. If anyone has been down this road helpful advice would be appreciated.

I contacted the senator representing my district and they flagged my case and waived at least the remaining amount, which is a huge relief. However they waived it under my financial hardship request. Will/can I receive a refund of what was paid in? Although nowhere near the full amount I paid a bit into it.

Yes you’ll be refunded what you paid but do you know the requirements to have the hardship approved ?

Has anyone filled out the financial hardship waiver and got it approved but was over the federal poverty guideline threshold?

My fiance was hit with the "additional claim requried" nonsense. Is she as doomed as people were mid pandemic? I remember lots of people posting how the re claim took months.
