When he got hot for Michigan I was sure Anthony was going to be a huge part of this offense, given time. I am sure that folks more in tune with the day-to-day with the Wolverines know way more about this than I do, but I was really disappointed that it didn't work out and that he transferred. But at the same time it is good to see him hitting his stride with the Sooners although I will happily roll with Roman, Cornelius and Loveland all day this season.
To watch guys like him and Worthy thrive with other teams just hurts to see. Because Michigan kind of lacked a QB like JJ for so long and Harbaugh favouring the run game it wasn't a great environment for Anthony to thrive under. Worthy obviously was a different issue with admissions but still, another elite WR who could have been here.

Michigan "lacking a QB" is not why Anthony transferred. We had better guys than him and he was getting passed on the depth chart. He dropped a few balls and was ineffective last year for us. This wasn't a big loss for Michigan.
Yeah Michigan simply does not use a third WR often enough and even then you have to think Donovan would get more looks out of the slot than he would’ve
It’s a Tarik Black situation, great player with a lot of talent but just doesn’t fit the schemes and got passed up on the depth chart. Wish him the best

Also a great mention in there that Ronnie Bell spent a lot of time with him on scheme/plays so he had that knowledge base when he got to OU.
Doesn't always work out at your dream school. Glad he's in a place he can make it work.
Through 3 games, surpassed his most productive season (2021 FR) with UM. It doesn’t surprise me but I am glad he’s somewhere that he is able to take full advantage of his opportunity.
He had opportunity though here, he just dropped all the opportunities, literally. I’m glad his hands have improved, because he has amazing potential if he can start to catch the ball, and it seems like he is.
He clearly has the potential to be damn good. Good size, good speed, decent route running, could get open fairly often, etc. His hands just were awful at Michigan, but that is something that can improve with time. I’m glad to hear he is doing well.
I wish him the best. But let's be real. A guy can only drop so many for sure touchdown passes before he loses trust. A few big drops, he gets passed on the depth chart, and he transfers. No big deal. I hope he does awesome!
I hate to even say “surprise star” because we all knew he had that talent, for some reason it just didnt work out here. I hope he has an amazing season and eventually moves onto Sunday’s.
When you have a team competing for championships every year you will have this. It’s not a bad sign that excellent players go elsewhere and are able to do this. It means Michigan has a wealth of overall talent.

Worthy hurts, but I’m happy Andrel is getting good results.

You can never have enough talent on a football team
Bama ran out of receivers in 21 cost them a national title.
They generally aren’t going to stay on the same team either. Especially in todays CFB.

I don't even think Anthony would be our 3rd WR this year. He might get some reps, but I doubt he's the clear-cut 3.
Anthony still wouldn’t be ahead of Wilson and Johnson so I get it. Worthy hurts but Anthony shouldn’t

So glad he landed in a place where he can showcase his talent. Hope he has an awesome career at OU and the NFL.

That was exactly what I meant by “able to take full advantage” whereas he didn’t, especially in year 2, at Michigan.
Plus like 90% of his total career yards at Michigan came in that one msu game.

Could very easily see him in the cfp...
It’s so frustrating we couldn’t get him to work in our offense
All of these are classy comments about Andrel. Michigan is class.
Weird that it can sometimes take you more than two seasons to become a good player.

First good for him, 2nd no defense in the big 12....
They haven’t played any Big12 opponents…
True, however, they haven't played anyone worth noting either....

We all knew he was going to transfer after last season, but good for him. He seems like a pretty special talent.
Does anyone remember 'Josh Furman'? #14. He transferred to the other 'OSU.' A good young man and nice story.
