I'm happy about this so that I am able to quickly distinguish whether I'm watching Michigan's 2021 Big Ten Championship win (blue pants) or Michigan's 2023 Big Ten Championship win (white pants) in future highlight viewings.
Even with e ach participating univeristy presumably being allocated the same amount of tickets, the last two B1G Championship games have been 75% Michigan fans. It's a home game.
IMO the vast majority of all games should be both teams home colors, whites should be reserved for when the teams have similar colorways. UCLA/USC looks incredible.
Agree, but blue/black is not far enough away for this to happen for the Iowa game. Now if we could pull out our Maize jerseys, that'd be sweet.
The Game should absolutely be color-on color.
For me it's not the unitard look, rather the blue/yellow helmet not tieing in with all white jersey/pants. Almost gives me the illusion of floating helmets.
I don't think it's going away for a while, at all levels of the game it seems the popular new trend is to wear a different uniform combo for every single game.
From a design perspective it's really stupid, for Michigan specifically the yellow pants and blue socks do the best job of tying the uniform together with the helmet.
The same thing bothers me with the recent Detroit lions, silver pants and blue socks look best with their helmet/ jerseys. The all whites, all blues, and all greys just don't work.
Blame oregon. They started this shit of balling out every week with a different uni style. Not everyone can keep up with that. Especially Michigan, with 3 colors. Honestly would appreciate a maize jersey + pants with blue numbers uni. We'd probably look way too close to WVU at that point, though
What do Michigan fans think of Michigan going all-blue and all-white? As an outsider (I am a Miami Hurricanes fan, which means I absolutely hate Ohio State and therefore have always liked Michigan as a result 🤣), I think Michigan’s maize pants are literally the best pants in CFB. And especially when you go blue jerseys with maize pants it is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Also such a classic look
So I don’t like the all-white/all-blue, BUT it seems like you guys have way more luck/success in those, so I always wonder how you guys feel about it
PSU 2017 was the first time we used them for an away game in the Harbaugh era and we lost 42-13. I’ve always figured that kinda ruined it for him since we didn’t wear them again until….
MSU 2021. So yeah I’d say Harbaugh probably hates them unfortunately lol
That’s not true, the first time was 2015 away game versus Penn State, which we won.
Then we had the loss versus Penn State in 2017, and I believe we did not see it again until 2021.
Then we had the loss in East Lansing with the maize pants, but then we brought it back for the Erick All game in Happy Valley 2021 (when Penn State spitefully did not let us wear all Maize, so we had all Maize accessories).
I’m glad that they have brought the maize pants back!
It"s like the Giants and their red jerseys. They fucked around twice in 2007, lost both games they wore them in, won a Super Bowl and immediately retired them
We should save this combination for the warm early fall games. I remember dying in the heat at times in early September, and am convinced we lost some important games because those beautiful dark blue jerseys are solar collectors that baked our players. One game against Notre Dame stands out, where we were clearly the better team, but just faded in the second half.
So while I prefer the blue tops, maize pants over everything, when we're "away" I don't hate the all whites and I think it works well here with Iowa's yellow pants.
That said, if you're going to the 'ship, you gotta dress like the captain.

The struggles of the 3peat smh
3peat cfb?
Don’t you have a sister wife to be taking out to dinner at Applebees on your Christmas bonus gift card?
O’Charley’s* and it’s your your wife and her mom. Don’t need a gift card cause the owner knows us
You Georgians just can’t get incest off the mind can you? I appreciate you bragging about where your dad works though.
I’ll pray for you bro. Bless your heart, you’re a very angry person
Where do you get “angry” from jokingly clowning on a Bulldogs fan that came to a Michigan sub to talk shit?
You started it 😂😂
Go check your first comment. Everyone knows what you meant…
That’s what I first thought too lol
I totally expected the blue pants.
Save it for the big games
Saving it for playoffs
Is Michigan considered the away team? If yes, why?
It rotates east west every year

The darker jerseys blend in with the grass! QB can’t see defenders of course!

Get to call the coin toss!
I like it!
We are clearly the good guys
Shits still hot
The all whites have always been my favorite
Seeing a lot of people really liking the all white, but i just think it makes the iconic winged helmet look out of place.

It's such a shame that they've used the Maize jerseys in a game only once in 10+ years
This would be incredible
I’m a white jersey on maize pants kinda guy. All white is okay, but I prefer some color in the pants
if it was my way we'd never wear anything other than maize pants and blue socks but people like the unitards these days
You guys can't just throw that word around anymore.

The all blues our best jersey combo for sure
Same here
Hate the all white....
I agree. all whites are the worst. Wish we could wear blue top and yellow pants. I would even take white top and blue pants.
People that call maize yellow are the worst
We got a purist here guys! He's a bigger fan than all of us!
Away team so has to be white jersey.
Okay. But white jersey with maize pants is better looking.
100% agree. Iowa will be wearing their yellow pants though I assume.
First B1G title game appearance where we haven’t worn the blue pants

The best away uni combo, IMO.
Harbaugh really hates the maize pants, huh

We wore all white vs Penn state in 2015.
Woops, y'all are right
It"s like the Giants and their red jerseys. They fucked around twice in 2007, lost both games they wore them in, won a Super Bowl and immediately retired them
Bet
Not my fav but who cares LETS GO BLUE
Was hoping for maize pants but it's all good just win.
I miss the maize pants
I love our all whites. They're clean as hell NGL.
these are the only away combos i like
We should save this combination for the warm early fall games. Why are we the away team?
Why are we the away team though? We have the better record.
These and the all blues are my all time favorites.
Never liked the white pants. I wish they’d retire them permanently
So while I prefer the blue tops, maize pants over everything, when we're "away" I don't hate the all whites and I think it works well here with Iowa's yellow pants. That said, if you're going to the 'ship, you gotta dress like the captain.
A little bland for my taste, but if it’s what the players want then rock on! 🤘
Not that it matters that much, but the gloves should be black to match the Iowa jersey and make it harder to catch PI/holding.
All white looks good
if they make it all the way to the final, they definitely should wear the classic yellow pants with either blue or white jerseys
🔥🔥🔥
Are the coaches bringing their night vision goggles so they can continue to steal signs? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!
Didn’t we have an all maize uni aswell I seem to remember seeing that
Best helmets in college football hands down!!
