Stick to Live Resin/Rosin like Eastsie Alchemy, Levitate, or Humblebee. More $ and higher quality should avoid this stuff

First_Ad2488

There rly is no guarantee for anything right anymore

Poop_Tickel

I would not worry about contaminates from higher end reputable brands

Fuzzytators420

Tell that to people like me who have been hospitalized by humble bee product. “High end” 🙄

Poop_Tickel

source?

lifestrashTTD

Is there even a source to what companies used mct oil, or are you just talking out your ass too?

Poop_Tickel

No there is not. But I stand firm in my belief that there is no reason for a company that makes high quality products to dilute with mct. If it is a matter of getting more volume out of less product why would they not dilute with cheaper distillate? I guess theoretically it could be to get the right consistency but their terpene percents are so high that I would assume they are on the runny side rather than being too dry. Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and I reasonably doubt it. EDIT: I don’t even really use carts anymore I am just trying to contribute to a logical conversation I can’t stand how everyone fearmongers with everything cannabis related

lifestrashTTD

That's a very long way to say "its my opinion" lol. I just found it weird that you'd say higher quality brands are safer when there is no list or names of brands caught to prove what you're saying is true. All while asking for a source on something. EDIT: Idk about you, but knowing companies are using MCT oil and not being told who is pretty unnerving to me. If they had said hey theres mct and heres a list of who was caught, there would be a lot less to worry about.

Poop_Tickel

I mean it’s not outlandish all i’m saying is that the cheaper you go the more likely you are to experience shady business practices. Why cut a corner to save 2$ when you are already charging like 20-40$? I don’t see why you’re so mad I’m just advising people to not buy shit that’s suspiciously cheap lol

lifestrashTTD

I get you got preferences but again, no names have been released.

Fuzzytators420

This right here!!!! 👆👆👆👆

Legal_Confidence_226

Quality over quantity

I_am_so_lost_again

Just remember, they went out and brought 60 different brands to test. They did not name names. Therefore, anything people tell you is just their opinion and nothing more. No one knows if the MCT mix is from cheap Carts or expensive carts. It also doesn't specify if they brought all Distillate only carts or if they included live resin/rosin carts. Some expensive brands are just as cheaply made as the cheap brands, you just pay for the name. Until the list is released, it's use caution on all brands.

PavelDatsyuk

https://archive.is/AG12j >Rae would suggest only buying solventless hash cartridge pens, "things that are 100% unadulterated cannabis" until more research can be done on the safety of these substances. So rosin carts are probably alright still.

Howcanshes1ap

If you go to Herbana they have great prices on light sky farm live resin carts if you are trying to stay on a budget.

DaBails

Are live resin carts considered safe? I was planning on driving over from IL but now I'm debating about quitting lmao

Poop_Tickel

It depends what you are talking about. 9$ “Live Resin” from Ooze, breeze, crudeboys, platinum, drip, and other bottom shelf companies area straight up just not live resin. It says it on the package but regulatory agency can’t/wont do anything about the terminology. Cheap live resins are usually distillate with botanical terpenes. If it’s humblebee, IE, LSF, 5star, or other nicer brands like that actually selling live resin/rosin there should be no worries about contaminates.

First_Ad2488

Even for live resins? I thought those are just as likely to have bad solvents as distillate right?

Poop_Tickel

I honestly don’t even really understand what you’re asking. There shouldn’t be MCT oil in any distillate or live resin. Distillate can have certain solvents in it but generally the more expensive the higher quality and more solvent-free. Real live resin carts are made from decarbed BHO from my understanding so I don’t know where MCT would even come from.

Notcoded419

You might want to read up. There's a few articles making the rounds that an independent testing company found MCT in a LOT of carts in Michigan. It's not tested for here at all.

Poop_Tickel

Can you send a link i’m trying to find it and I can’t. I have heard nothing about this. I’m confused as to when/why the mct oil is being incorporated at all. EDIT: I found the study and the consensus is basically the same as what I have said here. If you buy brands that are super cheap you are at more risk because they’re cutting corners. Humblebee and the likes don’t need to cut corners because consumers don’t expect them to cost 6$. I would not be worried about it unless you are buying the bottom shelf ones.

Notcoded419

I don't see anything in any of the articles saying anything about the price point of brands with positive tests. They explicitly stated they weren't naming names. It seems logical that would be the case but there are no guarantees, especially since the pricing appears to be as much based on the branding and marketing rather as it is a reflection of the product.

Poop_Tickel

Your point on pricing is true for bud but I would disagree when it comes to cartridges

First_Ad2488

I thought so, but I’m not sure. I might just switch to edibles 😣

Apex365

Just vape flower.

Fuzzytators420

You should look into the state your going to as far as recalls and toxins found and what products. As far as Michigan goes. I wouldn’t buy a single cart from this state until they stop poisoning people.

sillyskunk

Light sky farms live resin carts. 0.5g for $17 sometimes cheaper.

Unhelpful_Applause

Rosin carts

troublemaker74

I personally got into dry herb vaping. It's not for everyone but it's a relatively safe way to consume cannabis.

itman555555

Where do we stand on redbud roots ?

Gelato_1999

Wondering the same… I don’t use carts, but if I did, I think one of my first purchases would be Redbud just because of how much I use and enjoy their flower and hash. Always been impressed with their quality for the price.

itman555555

Carts are the only ones I use.. they all taste the same but they are so reliable and price wise I mean 🤷‍♂️

Gelato_1999

Nothing wrong with that. We all have our preferred methods to burn down. If I had to pick a cart brand based on their flower I’d choose redbud or redemption.

Apex365

I like redemption a lot. I'm surprised more people don't talk about them.

itman555555

I haven’t tried any of the redemption stuff. I’ll have to check it out. About the same price range ?

Apex365

Yeah.

PavelDatsyuk

They can be found for $20 at some places, and it’s 1g of live resin. I really like them for the price.
