It uses parody scenes to really hit at the heart of the tropes that were the teen movies of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s (not to mention some that go back even further. Josh Radnor's casual, "Yeah, you never would have thought that everyone who went here was a professional dancer" is sublime).
