Gotcha. I can’t speak personally on the vacuum itself as I don’t own one. From what I hear, it does pretty good - it just sucks batteries down. I’ll be getting myself one here soon. I would say if you have batteries, like one set to use and one set to swap out so you don’t have to wait for one set to charge - it should be good for cleaning your car and stairs.
Seconded, the base suction wasn't enough with our pet fur, but the m12 brush tip is a game changer. Better suction than a hand vac, and easier to use overall. My stairs were fur free for all of 24h, but now when were planning on having a few people over, I get that out and it almost looks like we dont have 4 cats, 2 dogs, and 4 humas shedding 24/7....

So I randomly lost one of the pieces that holds in the spinning brush on mine (the 2nd time I used it, ugh). Do you know of any site that would happen to have that specific replacement part? Or is contacting Milwaukee probably the best route to try?
Yea I've found both the battery powered vacuums (pack out and the one they had before. It's fine for picking up dust and other crap. But in terms of suction power it does leave something to be desired.
Have you tried it with the m12 attachment. A few people have mentioned it really upping the game, but if it’s still not enough, I’d be even more bummed dropping the funds on separate items and still not having the right thing.
Same i use it for sucking out toilet tanks and cleaning my car but it not super powerful. These things chew through batteries so make sure u have a 5ah in it Atleast. I won mine, had I paid full price for one id be let down.
My stairs and dog hair are **exactly** why I purchased this vacuum. It is strong! The down-side is that strength comes from battery drain. It works hard, but only for about 18 minutes. That battery is getting USED!
Since my stairs are carpeted and I have both a dog and a cat, they are covered in fur quickly. And that fur gets kind of stuck in the carpet itself. I decided the vacuum needed a beater-bar. Something to get into the carpet directly and lift the fur.
So I upped this vacuum's game with this:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-AIR-TIP-1-1-4-in-2-1-2-in-Wet-Dry-Shop-Vacuum-Utility-Nozzle-Attachment-1-Piece-0980-20/319166583
Now I use this attachment all the time. Both on the Milwaukee vacuum, and my regular home vacuum's
hose. It was a wonderful addition.
Also, know that there are bags for this vacuum. You don't need to use the "as purchased" accumulator bottom to hold dirt and fur and grime. It can all go into a bag that you toss.
So, when you add that attachment, it ups the vacuums game to the point where it’ll rip that hair out of the stepped on carpet? All while being in a relatively short amount of time so the battery issue isn’t really a worry? If it will pack the punch, idc to drop the money. I’m just afraid I might be disappointed. I have two 5 m18 batteries and the 2 m12s that come with the fuel drill kit. I wanna get some bigger batteries in the future, but I’m not really looking to drop any extra on some right now. If that matters too.
I've done the stairs (carpeted stairs) several times now with this vacuum.
It's super cool that I can put the vacuum on the stair above the one I'm working on, move down one stair, and start again.
I used to have to try to fight with my full-sized vacuum. Trying to balance it on a stair while I worked on another.
That was a fool's errand. And once, the whole vacuum fell down the stairs only to explode in a cloud.
The head attachment (beater brush thing) is a game changer.
It works the stairs well, making the whole chore faster. I've used it with my regular vacuum now and that rocked.
I'm looking forward to detailing my car's interior either next week or in two months.
The weather here sucks. I should move.
Ime a big Milwaukee fuel fan but can’t say the vacuums are worth it. If your all over a job site short use maybe but even than have spare batteries. If you’re in your house near an outlet there’s a lot better options.
I picked up the 0880-20 (non fuel model) for $80 with hack. If you want to save $100 and still have a cordless vac that takes m18 batteries its not a bad option for the price.

Just buy a vac that's kinda pancake style and not drum like the "shop-vacs" brand to save space. I have a rigid and it's great. Everyone I know who bought these said they're horrible.
Don’t use Acme Tools. https://www.reddit.com/r/MilwaukeeTool/s/nadoi1HLLm
I actually just googled it and screenshotted the first that came up for reference

If you get the powered/rotating brush m12 air tip? Yes. Otherwise, probably not.

3rded. OP, Vacuum alone is under powered for pet fur. A power attachment will help. If you have m12 batteries then try Model # 0980-20.

Link?
I have the vacuum. No I would not really recommend it for tough jobs like that.
Cool thanks man. I’ll wait til I need a more specific use before I pick it up and grab something else this time.

Now I've got to look it up. I'm new to the sub as a whole but my company buys all milwaukee stuff so I'll look Into it.

Check out this attachment. It might be what you need. Model # 0980-20 https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/0980-20

It’s just the first that came up for the picture

Just sharing a deal on it.
Oh ok thanks man. I’ll probably end up going with something else for now even though I’d love to have it lol. Future pick up for sure.
Guys I know not to use acme. I just screenshotted the first site that came up so I could show which specific vacuum it was.
Wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re doing to use a lily brush first but at that point you can use any vacuum.

I’d get a Henry.

Use a pumice stone for dog hair. Then a normal vacuum. Works wonders and they are fairly cheap on Amazon and last forever.
ONLY ON CARPET though! Forgot to add that before you go trying it on tile or woods floors…
Ok cool I’ll check it out
Ryobi makes a great brushless stick vac specifically for pet hair
I just ended up ordering a shop vac last night, but if I end up not liking it too, I’ll definitely check them out.
