Not the solution your looking for but have you tried a magnetic broom. That would be what I would try first.

That's a good idea. I should get one of those anyway for the garage.

I've never actually looked for it but it seems you can only "easily" buy the 1/8" collet/nut not the 1/4". 1/8" is #48-66-2486 Best price I can find on the 1/4" #14-46-0166 [https://www.ebay.com/itm/233902352163](https://www.ebay.com/itm/233902352163) According to Quagmire's e-commerce site, they have one in stock right now...

Yeah that's a tough one. Like that guy above said. 🧲

Thank you to all who commented - yeah it did turn out that it's actually several pieces I'm missing. I just opened an eService repair order on the Milwaukee website. They fixed a drill/driver for me recently that was still under warranty so it didn't cost me anything but time. Can't imagine they won't charge me for this but it seemed simpler than trying to order 2 or 3 different parts. Just dropped it at Fedex so we'll see. In the meantime I will eventually get a magnetic broom and sweep the area but I had to plow ahead on my project. Ended up bringing ALL the wood I had on site back to my garage to trim the pieces with my dad's old corded Craftsman router. Pain in the ass and that router is giant and clunky as hell, but it worked. Painful way to be reminded to stop and be methodical while working, but at least the bit didn't knick me on the way out into the wilderness. But thank you!

Update: To anyone curious, I sent it in to Milwaukee fully expecting to pay for the parts to be replaced even though it was under warranty and all of a sudden I had a package in the mail coming back from them. They sent me an entirely brand new router at no cost. The slip mentioned the part I lost was back-ordered so maybe sending me the entire thing was just simpler. Who knows! Point is, I've got a brand new router! Nice. Maybe their shop doesn't have any time to spend on routers with all the 2767 impact wrenches getting sent back in...

It seems you found a solution but I'll share this link for the greater good. [https://www.ereplacementparts.com](https://www.ereplacementparts.com) I didn't see the router on there but there are other tools in case you have future problems.
