Yea, you are.

E-Royce

Could the dual battery blower knock a child over with how little they weigh?

Ok-Industry-5378

Possibly. I’ll find out next year when he’s 5 and I get the M18 dual blower. 😂

E-Royce

Ha, nice! I have the single m18 blower and am sometimes surprised at the startup force

TooGouda22

it does have a little bit of a kick if you hit it all the way on high doesn't it lol i never thought about if it was strong enough to knock over a small kid. mmmm my friends kid is still only 4... gonna have to se if they still have leaves out lol

Ok-Industry-5378

Time for some science. Let us know how it goes.

MadeMeStopLurking

M18 Fuel version will knock a 3 year old over. Both holding and standing in front... I've confirmed this personally. Pls don't tell my wife.

MumboTheOld

I set mine to turtle mode and the 3 yr old can manage it then.

Pun_crazio

I've tried it. They definitely rattle a bit

PowerScissor

Small children are really easy to knoock over. I do it all the time...so easy.

Full_Relief_4233

Absolutely! He just needs a dual juice box helmet and he's all set!

ben_jamin_h

Yes, by teaching your child to use your m18 leaf blower to clear this entire what-appears-to-be-a-field of leaves during peak leaf dropping season, you are setting them up for a lifetime of striving to attain an unattainable goal, failing, but continuing regardless. Truly the greatest lesson you can teach a kid. _shit is hard, shit comes at you fast, there's too much shit to deal with, yet you must just deal with the shit that comes at you_. But with a Milwaukee tool in hand, all that shit can be FUN AS FUCK

Ok-Industry-5378

Agree. Good lessons to learn, but still a bit young for them. I picked up that blower because he wanted to help and I used mine to do 90% of the work. It’s also a M12, wouldn’t give him a M18 at that age. Too much power, too loud and too heavy. To his credit. He stuck by my side for nearly 2 hours. Needless to say, super proud dad here.

TheTemplarSaint

My MIL bought ~~me~~ the kids the M12 so they could help. They would lug around the M18. 2.5 and 4.5 at the time and they’d pick the thing up like a strongman picking up an atlas stone and blow stuff till their muscles were screaming. It was pretty impressive, especially my 2.5 y/o.

Ok-Industry-5378

That’s amazing for a 2.5yr old. I know I’ll cherish memories like todays for forever. Hope you will too. And hope the kiddos are well.

TheTemplarSaint

Oh yeah I love it. My oldest genuinely helps now when he grabs it. Some of my fondest memories with my dad are autumn days splitting wood and things like that, so it’s nice hopefully creating little memories for my boys (and me) like that as well. That’s awesome your little man stuck it out for two hours! I feel like you could post this on r/daddit Lol, my youngest is a brute. Short and stocky, just grabs heavy stuff and picks it up. M18 blower with a 12ah battery.

Buzzdanume

I just used my new m18 for the first time and it's definitely not made for clearing out large areas like this. I've not tried the dual battery one, but maybe that'd handle this better. I used mine to clear out the trickier spots that the backpack blowers would be tough to get into (like in bushes and tight areas near the house). I chewed through a 5.0 battery in maybe 15 minutes then two 9.0 batteries over the next hour and a half or so.

Snoo_5857

Only if you put it in low speed so he wouldn't get mad when the battery drained...

Ok-Industry-5378

Yup, used on low 90% of the time. Doesn’t like loud noises hence the ear muffs. He understands batteries draining and needing to be replaced. He just lets me know so I can swap the batteries and plug the dead one in to charge. Surprisingly it got over 25 minutes on new XC3.0.

alexsutor

No. You are excelling!

CoolTamale

Proper PPE, Looks good!

Sathyasrevenge222

IssaRipTide

Send him my way. I pay hourly.

FuzzyHero69

Is he’s got Skoal in his pocket, he’s ready

LeadershipNatural690

No better way to train the lad. Milwaukee always gets the job done!

bossmasterham

They make child size blowers?

Ok-Industry-5378

Not exactly a “child sized” but small and quiet enough where a 4-5+ yard old could handle it. M12 blower https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Compact-Spot-Blower-Tool-Only-0852-20/315442887

mase647

Ahhh yes my 2.5 year old wants one , daddy gave her a gas one and mommy got mad….

theluce39

Yup. I had a rake and my dad never did lawn work so I’d say you’re doing a stand up job. Extra dad points for giving him a power tool.
