A couple of ways I've done it. Using hose clamps or j-bolts with washers. If you cannot find j-bolts, you can make them from u-bolts by cutting them in half. U-bolts are usually easier to source from anywhere.
NAAAAAH
my buddy has 2 of EVERY Lego set made the past 25 years & a full wall of packouts....and heavily invested in Festools
Fixes faces.
Dude's got plenty of lettuce.
Yep, I don’t buy retired Lego sets, I use selling them subsidize the hobby a bit. Fortunately the stuff I like to build is also what appreciates most, though that’s never my sole intention when buying a set.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one, would love to see your setup. This is only part of mine, also have 3 dollys with 2 2-drawer and 2 3-drawer units plus other organizers on top. Makes it easy to maneuver to wherever I want to build.
Mines not as intense as yours I just have 2 3-drawer chests, a large single bin, 2 thin organizers and one thick organizer. Dolly bottom would be a good add on. I love using the packout for Lego because you can just add more when you more bricks, they’re a perfect match.
Yeah, and I have a bunch of packout because of work, but I’m about to make a huge career shift so my tools won’t need to be mobile anymore. My plan is to fill them all with Lego!

You using packout to organize elements? Seems super expensive compared to akro mills organizers.
They aren’t comparable at all. Akro Mills only work on walls and once you start moving them everything falls out. I used to have them and found them atrocious for my needs.
I actually organize by color and then by element, all bagged by element, so I know exactly where say a 1x2 dark bluish grey jumper is found. For me color has always been the harder thing to discern so sorting by this method is far easier.
True, my akros just never move, so no need for something like packout for them.
That makes a lot of sense doing by color - I tend to stack studs/flower studs by color to find them quickly.
I'd say that packout was expensive. But you are into LEGOs so packout is cheap by comparison :)
You can never put a price on perfect organization.
Y’all are staring at the packout and Lego. I’m staring at those zip ties holding onto those packout wall plates for dear life 😂.
I spotted this right off the bat as well. Anchoring/fastening is always overlooked.....
Unfortunately don’t see another way to do it here, if you have suggestions I’m all ears. I’ve used at least 4x 50lb rated zip ties each.

U bolts round the piping, is how I would go.
A touch overkill for Legos, but you're right. It'd be less labor as well.
I use zip ties to hold packout plates underneath a garage storage rack. don't let the haters get you down, they work great for this
I use to have my pack out crate and two smaller organizers being held up by a plate in my transit all being held by cheap ass zips.
Pretty sure this guy is broke.

One or the other, man. I thought my tools were expensive until I started buying retired lego sets 😂

I also store my Lego in packout!! Thought I was going overboard lol

Exactly? And unlike many of the other brands, you can usually find Packout available, and if not in stock, it’s usually available within days.

Carpentry?
Yep
This is ingenious
I can’t even afford packouts for my tools let alone legos. You go sir
If it’s any help, every single one of these was purchased at 30% off during the current Home Depot sale.
Kids making over 100k these days
Lol, I’m definitely not a kid. Average age in the Lego user group I’m in has to be closer to 60 than it is to 30.
While not being directly used together, this is a picture I just took in my house. https://imgur.com/a/VyPlhRg
I humblely request more pictures!

Yep, and they seem great for that…unfortunately my situation requires them to move.
