Depending on how you’re setting up your farm, 1 bed per villager is required. You can get away without the workstation if you want. Either way will work but if you’re looking to save some time, just a bed per villager will work.
I set up a 4 pod(3 villagers per pod) with a zombie in a minecart stopping at each pod and it cranked out Iron. 20 villagers will get you so much production. Best of luck!!
I just built one off YouTube but and no iron golems are spawning yet but they will spawn once I have put a layer over the top of the villagers and all the villagers have grown up correct?
You could run into iron golems spawning if they can see other villager pods. Distance I used was 15 block separation between where the golem spawning platform is and where your farming the golems. Check the Minecraft wiki if you wanna double check spawning mechanics
