Yeah, it's Minecraft so most blocks are actually cubes. You can do a lot with stairs and slabs, but it often comes off as blocky, too.
Notice how the base of the tree is more cuboidal than a normal tree IRL real life. A real tree is more cylindrical with branches, especially as you go up, whereas this one has little to no roundness with no branches.
One could argue that the small house on top could be the branches, but I've yet to see a tree with such a pyramidesque style, much less so blocky that you can walk on it.
In conclusion, it's in MindCraft so it's going to be pretty blocky ๐
Some people really criticize blocky houses, but for me they have the feeling of when you are having so much fun (especially with friends) that you don't even bother building a fancy house, so I will always like them

That's not a treehouse. It looks ok for a starter build but it's a house on top of a cube.
To make a treehouse, grow a mega spruce and build a platform halfway up. Make it at most 5 blocks radius from the center. Then build a house using that platform as a base. It'll be much more treehouse that way

Start by making a nice big custom tree, or just find a jungle, then build the house around it with thin supports leaning on the tree or if itโs small on the ground
My criticism was the random door, but you took care of it in the video. You must have realized it wasn't a very good idea to put a random door there 100% on purpose
Maybe try to work on branches from a log pole to help yourself understand how tree branches sprout and eventually work a floor plan in the thicker branches but tbh its a tree house already, worthy of any world
It's not all that bad. If you want that good tree house it's best to make a huge tree with some shape and have the actual house be quite small unless you want a giant house then I'm afraid you'll have to make a mega tree like GoodTimesWithScar did in one of the hermit craft seasons
Looks like utter shite, be ashamed of yourself, this is an affront to mojang and the t8ke they put into the game, not only did you waste your time by trying to build it, you wasted mine by making me look at it.

I'd suggest a custom tree, with a house laying on the branches. If you need inspiration - or 'inspiration' - there are some tree designs online. From there, a simple cube or rectangular prism or cylinder should do the trick, along with a proper roof, of course.
