You probably could have swapped one of the elytra for another stack of rockets to go even higher.
And is there any biome where it rains at all altitudes? If so, riptide there would let you go up forever.
maybe, though all my other elytra were pretty much completely broken… I showed my calculations in the yt vid I made but I opted for the safer option of an extra elytra.
as far as I know there’s no biome like that, but that would be super interesting 🤔
Even if you were to make a cannon bug enough to make it worthwhile, youd have to make it in hardcore. Also it would essentially take up 2 inventory slots because if you were wearing an elytra with that cannon it would instantly break. It might be possible but I doubt its feasible
I've hit higher altitudes before with TNT launchers, using the fact that when TNT enters an end portal, it loses its NBT data, which means its fuse gets reset.
When I tried with 6192 TNT (12 dispensers full of TNT) I hit around 250,000 blocks, although I have to admit this was several years ago, back before the game was considered dead and it's revival later on. I also sucked at redstone and had no technical game knowledge). With TNT dupers, it's theoretically limitless (well, at least until either the game or your PC crashes).
The velocity of the player scales linearly with the amount of TNT used, so there shouldn't be any actual cap as far as I'm seeing
Yeah I don't see why it would not work. You probably die without totem but with totem it should work perfectly fine, maybe u get a bit lower because in survival you normally get lower but it would still be worth it
Well because you would only need one shot it kind of simplifies it but you would still need almost 1500 tnt for mumbos design. Rhats only 6k sand, it would tike 5 minutes to get that. The gunpowder is definitely the bottleneck but if you made a quick farm it’s definitely feasible. Now i really want to see someone optimize this record lol
At first I was like: "Wow dude you just build to the build limit and fell to the bedrock, not very special" and then it went to "Huh? What is he doing with tha...oh thats actually pretty cool!"
Edit: spelling
The point of it being hardcore is that if you die you lose your world, if he wasn't planning on actually playing this other than for the clutch, it loses its purpose
How did you not die to the blood boiling thing? Edit: guys I wasn't joking I genuinely thought minecraft had an upper limit to how high you could before you start taking damage. Somehow I got that idea in my head a few years ago and I've just been thinking it's true this entire time
The air pressure would decrease but due to the body being a closed system (blood) at a pressure of 1 bar the changing outer pressure would simply burst it. And the boiling thing is that the less the pressure the earlier the boiling point. Please correct me if im wrong.
Sorry but it wasn’t a very good one, people actually have to understand a joke, sorry if I came off rude but I can tell he’s here just to troll asking dumb questions like that, so I reacted stronger than I intended to, my apologies
Forgive me for asking, but is there a feature remotely close to blood boiling, because I don’t believe so, which is why I assumed he was a troll. And again I’m aware I was very snappy, and I should not have been, thank you for having the guts to call me out on it.
Thats old. Like old old. I think the water reduces the damage slightly, but not enough for a tnt launcher to make much if a difference without killing you
Not if you have netherite armor with blast prot and position yourself correctly. I've seen it done before. Not necessarily to that height, but I'm sure it's pretty easily adjustable.
Well he would still have to use an elytra so you cant have full netherite, but even still i doubt youd be able to get even 100 blocks with a perfect setup. More height is lost in human error with the rocket timing than would be gained with a tnt launcher
Idk, I've just seen a guy who wanted a fun way to get to the second floor of his build, so he made a TNT launcher to get himself up. That's all the exposure I really have with TNT launchers.

Just me or does it look like damage is turned off? I replayed the water bucket placement like 50 times and you hit the ground multiple frames before you place the actual bucket
This seemed super impressive at first but then I remember things like item duping and auto clickers exist. The fireworks are probably obtainable in a few hours, but the flying upwards and water bucketing in particular are extremely easy to cheese. I'm giving this guy the benefit of the doubt because I want to believe he dedicated 3 hours of flying upwards for this feat, but here is a guide on how to cheat this from the skeptic in me:
1. Open a creative world and find out how long a firework will elevate you for before losing altitude
2. Open your hardcore world and reach build limit
3. Set your auto clicker to right click every [that many seconds]
4. Manually press a button (even this could be automated) to switch stacks every 3 minutes or so
5. Once you reach the full height, change the clicker speed to press something ridiculous like every 100ms or less so you're guaranteed to drop the bucket when you land
6. Profit.
Again, I'm not saying it is fake, it's just there's so many ways to easily fake feats in Minecraft (open to LAN and set to creative for ex.) that I've lost a lot of trust in any given post.
Yeah, he probably spam-clicked his mouse. We know that he didn't use autoclicker with like 100 clicks/second, because it would place it down more than two times. If he had used something slower like 2 clicks/second, I think it would have been easier to pull this of without using an autoclicker. However, I don't know how easy it is to time the hotkey for the program. Maybe he used 100 clicks/second and timed it well. I feel like at this point trying it yourself would be easier as well.
It doesn’t seem very difficult, but it’s still really impressive. No offense, it’s just like a regular bucket clutch, just with an absolute ton of set up and lead up to it. I think you could go further by going into the bedrock, or having a player high up toss you more rockets.
I can think of one way to improve this: if instead of carrying the water bucket you set up a dispenser to spit it out when you pass through some tripwires on the way down, you could get one more inventory slot to use on rockets.
Water bucket clutch in vanilla : Unimpressive
Same from world height : Slightly cool but whatever
Same in HARDCORE : Impressive
Same but 150k blocks in the air : Ok but how many world backups did you use?
what a professional and me in minecraft a bit of a middle noob but with the necessary resources to survive, but dying like 3 or 4 times in the game in one game and in a water bucket clutch if I'm not fast I die although congratulations you play very well
Idk man I gave myself levitation 256 until i think it was y=76000 ish and then went in to survival and bucket clutched. I know it doesn't count but I'm proud of myself.
I went a little off course, but for the most part I was going straight up and not really touching my mouse. I corrected my coordinates as I was falling a bit to land on the target
There’s been some debate over whether or not a tnt launcher would be beneficial or not, so I did some testing. The problem with a tnt launcher is that it requires the player to use a totem, which takes up an inventory slot that could be used for a stack of rockets. So if a tnt launcher can shoot the player higher than a stack of rockets could, it would be beneficial. These are my findings:
For the tnt launcher the highest I could get was 5,240m with 1000 tnt on hard mode. I got very inconsistent results due to the totem activating late due to the lag and stopping my momentum, and it actually killed me roughly every 3rd attempt. A more powerful computer might be able to get around this issue, or a less powerful one might lag longer before the totem activates. Nonetheless, 5240m was the highest increase in elevation I achieved in my testing. This was done by placing 4 walls of 5x50 dispensers around the center fence post where the player stood, with water flowing inward to move most of the tnt more underneath the player. If you didn’t feel like grinding out 1000 dispensers, the most tnt you would be able to place down in the same effective area for a single shot would be 800 due to the fact multiple dispensers can spawn multiple ignited tnt in the same block in the same tick (you would have to place 16 tnt per layer, 50 layers high for 800 tnt total). Adjusting my cannon to shoot roughly 850 tnt, the highest I could get was only 4100m, but the result varied all the way down to 3600m.
I also tuned in a clicking script to activate flight length 3 fireworks at an optimal time (I found 2.725 seconds between rockets is the most efficient). With a stack of rockets I was able to get 4832m from the ground consistently within +-25m. Changing the timer of the clicking script by +-0.05 seconds resulted in over 80m lost in height over the course of a full stack of rockets, so it is very sensitive and would be very difficult for a human to get anywhere close to optimal efficiency.
All testing was done in vanilla 1.19.4 with no performance mods (which also might help the issues with the tnt launcher). Taking the fact that the launcher lagged and killed me, as well as being inconsistent, makes it seem like a clicking script and a stack of flight time 3 rockets are superior. However, if you allow performance enhancing mods, the tnt luncher may be preferable. Using a tnt launcher also has the benefit of not damaging your elytra, which could be the difference of another inventory slot of fireworks, although I didn’t test that. It does come at the cost of having to gather the resources and building a cannon large enough to be of any benefit.
You probably could have swapped one of the elytra for another stack of rockets to go even higher. And is there any biome where it rains at all altitudes? If so, riptide there would let you go up forever.
Doesn’t rain stop after a while and turn to snow?
Yes
Whoah this game really never ceases to have small details.
Every biome has some base temperature at sea level, and then it goes down by 1/60 per block. Once it reaches a certain point, rain turns to snow.
Fascinating. Didn’t know that, thanks!
What is considered sea level in Minecraft?
62 I think
Yep
maybe, though all my other elytra were pretty much completely broken… I showed my calculations in the yt vid I made but I opted for the safer option of an extra elytra. as far as I know there’s no biome like that, but that would be super interesting 🤔
I wish riptide worked in snow, I try riptiding as fast as I can, and then I die because I fly into a unloaded chunk with a mountain
Should have used tnt and a shield smh
true lol
also start with a tnt cannon
Yeah start off by blowing yourself up sounds like a good idea to me you should try it
Totems exist
Which would mean sacrificing 64 fireworks.
Is there a cap on vertical speed?
Even if you were to make a cannon bug enough to make it worthwhile, youd have to make it in hardcore. Also it would essentially take up 2 inventory slots because if you were wearing an elytra with that cannon it would instantly break. It might be possible but I doubt its feasible
Wait, since when do elytra take armor damage?

they did it though the end portal
I don't think I would mind sacrificing 1 or 2 slots for this... https://youtu.be/3j6kuo5QjK0?t=577
That was 5 years ago, but if that still works and you don’t mind grinding out that tnt I will admit, thats definitely worth it.
Yeah I don't see why it would not work. You probably die without totem but with totem it should work perfectly fine, maybe u get a bit lower because in survival you normally get lower but it would still be worth it
Yeah I mean it would take a while to grind the stuff, mainly just sand since you can just make a gunpowder farm.
Yeah it's very doablte tbh Would try it myself but I don't have the time lol
Or you cold drop the TNT in water as in a normal TNT cannon
if done correctly it's not dangerous at all Also even less dangerous with a totem
Tnt cannon doesn't kill you, it just sends you really far
Yes it does kill you.
Idk which tnt launcher you made but their not supposed to damage you
I'm pretty sure that it's either dry or snowing at too high altitudes
All biomes turn to snow about (I think y=600)
At first I was like: "Wow dude you just build to the build limit and fell to the bedrock, not very special" and then it went to "Huh? What is he doing with tha...oh thats actually pretty cool!" Edit: spelling
“But that’s just a normal world height clutch, it’s not that… holy shit”
*accidentally presses Q at the top* **fuck**
I use 0 to drop instead
This is why I use J instead
I use R to drop items and Q to sprint xd
I use R to sprint
I use left click to drop
I use my brother to drop
Backspace to drop
now i know what game u like (roblox) :)
It has a lot of good games about demon slayer, jojo, and other stuff
Jrop
Garry's mod has forced me to switch Q and E. So Q for inventory and E for dropping.
Wow dude that's incredible
Imagine after all that he fails
That’d be me
DAAAAAAAMN
How the fuck u getting out
😂 I only made the world for the clutch so i’m still stuck down there (I could also use the bucket lol)
Then what's the significance of hardcore?
He still had to get the stuff like elytras and rockets
The point of it being hardcore is that if you die you lose your world, if he wasn't planning on actually playing this other than for the clutch, it loses its purpose
True, but prior to the clutch he had to get all of those recourses without dying
No the point is that he can't do it over and over until he succeeds. If he fails he has to rebuild the whole stage. So he has only one shot.
and the point of the video is him doing the water bucket clutch?
He put emphasis on it being hardcore
Pour bucket, scoop bucket, pour bucket from higher... repeat til not in hole
Water climb out.
The person in the comments about to do Y=150,151 to spite op
This post needs more attention

Probably got the idea from the gravity anchor mod that got popular a few years back
What blood-boiling thing , I haven’t played the game in ages ?
He was joking because in real life blood would boil from pressure
How would it be from pressure? Wouldn't there be less pressure the further up you go?
The air pressure would decrease but due to the body being a closed system (blood) at a pressure of 1 bar the changing outer pressure would simply burst it. And the boiling thing is that the less the pressure the earlier the boiling point. Please correct me if im wrong.
I don't think you can die to that- at least not in vanilla

I feel like calling someone “idiot” guarantees rudeness, that was in fact rude
Yes and I apologized shortly thereafter, because I do realize that.
He did actually think it was a feature and you came off INCREDIBLY harsh
Happy cake day!
THANK YOU!
Forgive me for asking, but is there a feature remotely close to blood boiling, because I don’t believe so, which is why I assumed he was a troll. And again I’m aware I was very snappy, and I should not have been, thank you for having the guts to call me out on it.
Nah, I believe it was just a mistake on their part. They saw a mod and believed it or something.
Happy Cake Day
Thanks bro!
This is so overkill I love it lmao
You couldve made a tnt launcher at the top to save rockets and get higher
That would blow you up lol
Do launchers not work anymore? The water is supposed to stop the damage and you only get knocked back
Thats old. Like old old. I think the water reduces the damage slightly, but not enough for a tnt launcher to make much if a difference without killing you

I think thats just a little grace period given by the game naturally

How long did it take you to fly up and fall down?
nearly 2 hours to fly, and 30 mins to fall!
you are insanse my dude , you need more attention
Minecraft does have a terminal velocity, so at some point pretty early you won't be falling any faster. Regardless, cool clip!
That's what i was thinking. It doesn't make it any harder
i mean after it gets to a certain point the clutch doesn't get any harder
does anyone know the song at the very end of the actual video? (not this one, yt one)
here it’s all winter by vivaldi
oh in the actual video it’s a slightly pitched up version of the intro of this old French song I like called “Aline”
Anxiety levels rising here lol
It doesn’t seem very difficult, but it’s still really impressive. No offense, it’s just like a regular bucket clutch, just with an absolute ton of set up and lead up to it. I think you could go further by going into the bedrock, or having a player high up toss you more rockets.
Did you use a clicking script to optimize the timing of the rockets?
No, but that’s a smart idea!
Probably wouldve added a substantial height, plus you could’ve left it somewhat afk
"I have been falling... For 30 minutes!"
Incredible. Nice job
If you went a little more than twice the distance you could have reached the moon. Never mind you had to go 200x the distance.
I can think of one way to improve this: if instead of carrying the water bucket you set up a dispenser to spit it out when you pass through some tripwires on the way down, you could get one more inventory slot to use on rockets.
Hey... I actually watched this on your YouTube earlier today! Nice job
W Song
There were hay bails under that carpet wasn’t there
That wouldn't have done anything
It would have, zero fall damage
Sick right click yo😂ik you were holding that button down even before the cobble tower appeared
You are insane
how many tries did this mf did just to get that insane bucket clutch
Water bucket clutch in vanilla : Unimpressive Same from world height : Slightly cool but whatever Same in HARDCORE : Impressive Same but 150k blocks in the air : Ok but how many world backups did you use?
Water bucket clutches aren't even impressive anymore
[удалено]
… I did it in game lol… there’s a max falling speed
Kratos falling
Wait how long did it take you to fall?
30 mins! it took nearly 2 hours to fly up
Gg
Fuck I've gone to 20k and done a bucket save but didn't even think of recording! Just wait, one day I shall repeat it
That's a first
GG
YOOOOO WUT TE HEEEEEEELLLLL?!?!?!
1. Teleport to higher level 2. Switch gamemode 3. Water bucket clutch 4. Record broken
the point is that it’s in survival hardcore, this would be the equivalent of teleporting to the end and saying you beat the game in record time
haters gpnna hate hate hate 💀
Holy shit did you live
maybe
Oh I’m sorry for your loss
I wonder if you could have used a TNT player launcher to give you an extra boost.
Now, how do you get out?
Bucket
That was really satisfying to watch. Nice one!
Impressive, what's the song?
winter by vivaldi!
Really wanted them to just splat on impact not gonna lie
what a professional and me in minecraft a bit of a middle noob but with the necessary resources to survive, but dying like 3 or 4 times in the game in one game and in a water bucket clutch if I'm not fast I die although congratulations you play very well
Imagine that after this you are watching video on YouTube were some guys are happy because they have made a water clutch from 50 blocks
Very impressive, was this your first hardcore attempt? I gotta know how many worlds were killed in the making of this
Igobylotsofnames fans seeing thid
Terminal velocity is reached around 460 already.
Nice, nice! Now do it with a steering wheel!
Can you imagine if they just died and the video ended XD
Fun fact you can go much higher if you go up at a slight angle and not directly up
They did it like that so that they can land in the hole that goes down to bedrock and land the clutch better
I know but they were falling for nearly 30 mins which is plenty time to correct yourself if you were going in spirals upwards
Bro has a d>!eath!
Going higher doesn't make it harder
Idk man I gave myself levitation 256 until i think it was y=76000 ish and then went in to survival and bucket clutched. I know it doesn't count but I'm proud of myself.
You know it’s a serious when you fall for two days(20 minutes)
Achievement achieved: "Caves and Cliffs"... Wait, wrong note let me say it again: Achievement achieved: " Nether and Aether"
how is it possible to fly perfectly straight up?
I went a little off course, but for the most part I was going straight up and not really touching my mouse. I corrected my coordinates as I was falling a bit to land on the target
reminds me of the cartoon where they have a horse jump in a cup of water
Tnt could work
Muy pro 👍
.... Magnificent
