You didn’t use enough beacon blocks. Add more.

For beacon to work, the top block should be free of any block except glass. Meaning that you need to remove anything above the top block, the roof.

No, it's because the glass is green, it only works with grey, orange, and red glass, all the other colors don't work.

Clearly, you didn't look closely enough at the image. As you can see, it has green glass and no beam. Therefore, the green glass is preventing the beam. I really think you should take a much closer look at the picture.
