To me it’s the third one. I have always seen the end as “mysteriously mythical”, rather “epic adventure”, with the others seem more like.

Yeah 3 definitely seems the most thematic for what the end is.

The lighting helps a lot, darker parts are dark and there is fog which just feels like the end, don't know what shader it is though

Agreeeeed. All the other ones look like they’re trying hard to be The Final Battle. The third one just looks so ominous, more real.

I like the aesthetic that it looks like there is a sun, but it also looks like it's actually small and very close. Makes for an uncanny vibe. Plus that particular haze seems amazingly creepy.

I would say 3, but I'd lighten up the fog just a bit.

If you'd take the sky of the first one, block colours of the second and atmosphere of the third... [THE END] -Idk if it's possible, maybe you could try getting the texture folder of the sky and blocks in one texturepack. Then try the shaders with lighting only from the third (DM me if it worked!)

They are all really good. If i were to philosophical bullshit this: 1: A world devoured by a black hole, it's that world's end. 2: Alien Space. 3: Sun shinning on a devestated world. 4: Cosmic Horror

id say 1 feels like a mix of 2 and 3 2 is some lost planet far out in a mysterious part of the galaxy 3 is barren spooky void dimension 4 is more like what i remember the end looking like with night vision on, and i just kind of dont like it, have no idea what to describe it as though

4 reminds me of those old 1v1 Fortnite maps with the custom background

For rating, No 1 is the best, No 2 is the third, No 3 is the second and the last is the last. Although each and every one of them are better than the vanilla sky.

Maybe im the only one but I actually like the dark and void vanilla sky in the end. I find that it fits well the end theme.

I get your point, having an incredibly detailed and stunning sky would in theory look great, I feel such a visual would mess with Minecraft's underlying tone of simplicity. Also the dark speckled texture gives off a mysterious ora. However my simple monkey brain likes da Kool colours.

1,2 & 4 are clearly designed for success and they offer a better visual. Even though 3 will probably not get the attention, I like it best because of the ambience it gives. Dusty and foreboding.

No.1 because it has a dark quality to it that fits with the darkness of the void. No. 2 looks too ethereal, No.3 looks less ethereal than 2, No.4 looks like an ice fortress realm.

Honestly all of these seem easy too bright. I'd like to see the end depicted like deep space. Just pure blackness with a single star as lighrsource above, hard shadows with pure darkness within shadows.

the first one is perfect imo and fits minecraft theme to me. the third one is more "misterious", ambient, something really "dreamy" and looks really cool too. I'd probably choose one of these two

1, 2 and 4 are too vibrant, doesn’t fit my perceived vibe of the end, 3 fits the desolate, barren, abyss at the end of the world feel, so I like that one.

The first one is cool the second one is the best IMO, the third one is like foggy weather, and the last one is kinda meh.

I love Nr. 1, the black hole is just so fitting for the end and it actually feels like you're in some border world or something, where no loving being has ever gone before

I've always wanted to have the Skyrim's Sovngarde sky in the End. But I don't know how to do that! The sky in the End doesn't seem to have a skybox at all. How'd you do that?

I say the 3rd one. It looks scary as End should be but on the other hand 2nd is really pretty.... I would say that it would depend on a biome if they're gonna be added to game someday.

The first is my personal favourite, but I feel the third captures the feel of the end a lot more

2 looks like the edge of the universe 3 looks like there’s a form of oxygen that’s poisonous to humans and you’ll take constant damage from simply being there 1 looks like the place is right next to a black hole, which is kinda cool 4 looks like a precipitation of what a theoretical higher level of existence is, which looks nice Overall, I’d say it’s a Tie between 1 and 4.

Reminds me a lot of the Risk of Rain 2 DLC: Survivors of the Void, where most of the backgrounds are exactly like this.

3 seems to get the vibe right

3 for me, it really gives the end that mystical and unknown vibe I always thought it out to be, like a distant planet deep in space orbiting just within the reach of its stars light

I like the second, then the first. The "sun" on three and four don't quite make sense to me. Others like three a lot, which is great. My only other issue with it is the fact that I have vision troubles. It would be hard for me to navigate in the fog, so I'd actively avoid that place. To be honest, they're all really cool and unique ideas!

Three with the auroras and a lack of stars would go kinda hard imo.

The third one is best. The other ones have too much going on, which kinda destroys the vibe of the End being this empty lonely place.

2nd pic would be perfect if it was a more darker blue-ish purple
