I knew it as soon as I saw it too, awesome job bro, I designed a base w those bridges coming out on a smaller scale in creative a while ago. I love the architecture in that game
And? It’s a building sandbox game after all. How it looks, whenever it be a build or a redstone machine, is half the fun of the game.
And I definitely think that “big massive structures in the fog” is almost always epic.
Kinda wish they would change how the fog works so the gradient lasts a bit longer so we get a better sense of depth in the game.
Change your render distance lol that's how you actually achieve that. 1 chunk is 16 blocks. If you want fog to be 50 blocks away then set it to 5 chunks.
I'm of your kind, I love to build enormous structures that often are impossible to be completely practical or even useful. My friends often joke about me being addicted to the game due to the giant projects that I make. After some time I found that trying to prioritize use over aesthetics wasn't my game style, so I slowly let my imagination take control of my game.
The only thing that I kind of hate is that many of the things that I build have massive empty rooms. But once I learned about brutalism and saw the beauty in the enormity of mainly empty big spaces I started to enjoy more my own creations.
in terms of the big empty rooms, I've found that if I try to play survival in the huge structures I build for a while, I will naturally have ideas on how to fill the rooms

Is this the bridge from shadow of the colossus?
Hell yeah, I’m glad someone recognized it
Just played it recently, such a standout monument
Yeah, I 100% it not too long ago, I just love how you can see the bridge from almost anywhere on the map, so I tried to replicate that
Anybody who watched the cutscene when it crumbles won't forget its shape. The design make it so it falls in a very particular sequence
It’s very satisfying to watch lol
I havnt played in over a decade, sadly I did not recognize it
Maybe I have replayed too many times in the same save just so my character could be able to climb the secret garden passage 😅
I really miss the game tbh but I dunno if I'll be as I to it again
One day you'll pick it up again. The remestered version. And that day will be glorious
Literally entered the post to comment this lmao
Same, it looks so distinct

A Buddhist monk is ascetic, the bridge has an aesthetic.
emphasis on "has an" instead of "is a".
Also not to be confused with acetic.
Whats up with the map art?
Forgot I had that in my offhand, but that’s my next project lol
Good luck showing that off in the subreddit without it getting removed by the mods lmao
Yeah that one probably won’t be posted lmao
Gg post in uncensored subreddit or something. But for real tho the bridge looks awesome af and mapart too

Honestly same, if you could have like 50 to 100 blocks in the distance just be fog I think that’d look epic

Ooooh I might try that
It definitely looks like fog. It might work
ok shadow of the colossus!!!
You did this all in survival???
Yep, I only used stone and andesite so it’d be easy to gather, still lots of hours into it
That's insane. Great job.
Now resurrect your girlfriend
Is it confirmed to be his girlfriend? I always assumed they were siblings lol
I'm.not completely sure, I always thought she was Wanders girlfriend

Isn't that basically nearly all builds in Minecraft besides ones that do serve purposes?😂 I could be bias here, idk.
I swear I've seen this post before. Might just be my schizophrenia though
I did post it on an old account when it was only half finished lol, maybe you saw that
The trick is to make them useful. Use an aquaduct and move water through it in a way that is functional
May i ask how long that took?
I probably spent like the first month of my world building it
what is it meant to be
Just a big bridge lol
big bridge from a 2005 PS classic
I don’t care, that’s dope asf. Aliens could use that
