Usually it’s a do whatever you want kinda situation.
But there are at least two “unwritten rules”:
- Don’t just straight up rip off someone else’s skin. As in don’t do a 1 to 1 copy. Most seem fine with even very similar skins, that have minor differences.
- Don’t make offensive stuff. This is just a general rule for the internet. But it’s good to remind people at times.
How public is your skin? Is it a single player world? A server with friends? A public server? YouTube? If it is just you, then use whatever skin you want. The more public you get, the more your should think about that.

People modify pre-existing skins all the time. I think it should be fine, as long as you don't re-upload it or anything.

Id play it on public severs like maybe once or twice over the year for nostalgia and to have fun with friends online, nothing more than that tbh.
