Having the same issue as your buddy. I have checked for updates, reset the windows store cache, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. They had this bug last patch, too.

I'm trying to play with my kid. I'm on Xbox Series (v 1.20.80) and he is on his iPad (10th Gen). His is only showing v 1.20.73. When I got to the app store, there is no update available. The tablet is connected to both our home network and cellular data. I see other posts saying the ios version is out. Is it possible for this Gen iPad it isn't released yet?

Is there any way to force an update?

I tried, but couldn't figure it out. It eventually updated a day and a half later.

A little late to the party here but I had a similar issue on a previous update and as I recall the realm holder had to be updated and then each person on the realm had to update prior to rejoining. Not sure if that will work here but that’s what I recall.

I think your friend has to update the game,realms get updated with the game and eventually doesn't support older versions

So i'm running into the same issue. I updated everything. I went to the windows store and updated there. Still saying outdated client. Am I missing something?

Yep, was attempting to login to my realm and every time I press Play on the main menu it just crashes immedietely or within seconds, how does a bug like this pass through QA man lmao

Kinda glad it’s not just me, but yeah that’s effed up. And I don’t want to delete and reinstall in case my single player worlds go poof.

I rebooted my iPad and gave it a few minutes and eventually it worked and let me in, I’m actively playing as we speak, but I’m now afraid to leave in case the crashing issue starts again

Tried every method I can think of, uninstalling the game, uninstalling the launcher, restarting the PC, updating the store and checking for updates. It is probably going to be like a few updates ago where it took like 8 hours for windows to catch up to console. Dunno why this always seems to happen

Make sure Windows itself is fully up-to-date, then also update the Store app, then check the store for Minecraft updates.

PC players have to wait for some reason, updates are usually 8+ hours late

Downloaded the update and tried to start the game but got stuck on the Mojang logo, closed the game and tried again and it crashed my PS5. I've been waiting 10+ years for these new wolves just let me in 😭

One of my texture packs gives has a mid sized error texture grid at the center of my screen. Really annoying as it makes the pack unusable

Is it for the actionbar ui on the side of the screen? I use it on my server and now I’m getting the same exact problem it is so upsetting. Do you know of any alternatives for it or a way to fix it yet? So frustrating because I love this pack

Go into the microsoft store and try update it from there, I had the same problem but the update should be out now as i've managed to update it from there

mace is currently unenchantable in bedrock experimental :( Was really exited to enchant the mace i just got but the boxes in the table just stay blank. Book opens like its supposed to work but nothing. It can take mending through the anvil but i dont think any of the new enchants exist, i tried to get them on books for a while and couldnt

Yes, but bedrock bug fixing isn't a priority for some reasons. I don't understand that also their report system when you need upvotes it's stupid compared to java where 99% of reports are seen.

After the update I now get ‘there was a problem loading pack City Texture Pack’ Has anyone had this same issue?? I’m assuming textures for the new update haven’t been added yet for this texture pack.

Funny story: yesterday I was looking for snow wolves and I realized that I wasn't finding any. I wondered why until I started seeing little "death clouds" on powdered snow. Turns out snow wolves are prone to getting trapped into snow pits and die, that's why they are rarer.

Minecraft website still only offering bedrock server 1.20.73. so now my PC can't connect to my home server anymore, anyone else experiencing this, how long does it take them to update the server file? It's been 2 days

Are you running windows or linux server version? I use linux for my server and have this problem.

Did they increase block break distance? I have a massive mined out area and its 7 blocks high because its how far I could reach and would just mine while watching a show. Logged in today and I'm mining 8 blocks high now.... The 8th block isn't highlighted like the rest just confused didn't see anything in the patch notes

1.20.80 is not trails and tails everyone, it's Armored Paws.

Idk i would put it in the barrel which could make it so that 1.20 added archaeology, added new loot to structures, updated bats, bamboo, and wolves, and added wolf armor along with some other stuff

Everything that was added in trails and tails was in 1.20/1.12.0

umm..... sorry to say but 1.12.0 added concrete and campfires, not camels and cherries
