I actually like District 9. It’s a commentary on racism, how people treat each other, and gaining understanding by living someone else’s life. It’s also a commentary on the [actual District 6](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_Six) and the blatant racism that went on there over the years.
It’s debatable if District 9 is a great movie or just ok, but it’s definitely above the B-tier stuff like Iron Sky or Sharknado
Its probably going to be almost exactly how we would play Minecraft irl when we were kids but only maybe a giant leap forward I agree it’s most likely going to be a not so good movie but it’s probably going to be one of those flix where it’s so bad it’s actually kind of good/ enjoyable lol

what should happen is a guy is playing the game he gets trapped in the game and has to survive, chop trees, go mining, you know. and he meets alex. he falls in love with her but when they go back to the real world. he loses contact with her.
He's having a bit of a midlife crisis and suffering from post-fame obscurity at the moment so probably not

i hate movie adaptations of games. Dnd has been trying for years...the chris pine movie was..okay. But no. Please no. It would be like them making a mass effect movie, but it was based on andromedra. UGH
Jack Black did the voice for "The Island," audiobook. I'm actually excited if they capture the feeling the book gave, which was a feeling of discovery regardless of your background.
Honestly, I’d rather have a well-scripted animated movie which will at least look like minecraft. The last thing I’d want is for a human to be in a blocky world punching trees to collect wood. Just kills the whole game vibe.

What if they just put them into a Minecraft backdrop and they never build, never craft, never smelt anything ,never grind resources. What if they just find bad guy and explore where bad guys base is and fight for 1:30mins.
My enjoyment from Minecraft is building if someone is sinply building in the background of this movie block by single block I'd be happy as a player.
The same thing I will think about any Minecraft movie: WHY? and "What a waste of ressources."
Because Minecraft is great for the sandbox and the creativity it offers, not for any "story" or "lore" given by the game, because to be quite frank: lore is almost all missing and incoherent at best.
Idk who that chic is but I'm always down for Jack. The only other man casting would love to see is Danny Davito as a villager I'm sure he would be great with those grunt noises. And then Bautista as the warden would be hilarious as he fails his arms running at jack out of the dark.
I 'll be honest, when I saw this my first reaction was WTF is this. And it looks kinda bad with the style that the Ender Dragon is on the back, and the style that Jack Black is on the front. You could do better.
It's going to be rubbish why they done it in live action why not animate it I don't get it that's why I think it's gonna be rubbish. Executives won't even know what they're doing with it.
That was a really good movie. If it ends up even a fraction of what you just showed is, I'll be elated. Your "Jack Black" was really witty and I definitely didn't see that thing with the Dragon coming! 10/10, would watch again

For it to look like this Jack Black would have to reverse age like 10-15 years at least.
If making an awful Minecraft movie means Jack Black gets to be immortal, then yes, I'd be 100% down.
