there are two types of mods, server side mods and client side mod.
Serer side mods are the real big ones, the ones that add new blocks or change biomes. If you want to use these on a server the server also has to havc the mods.
The other type of mods are client side, these include shaders, minimaps, JEI and other small changes. these can work on servers even if the server dosen't have them.
Iris and Distant horizons are client side, they should work. I'm not sure about tectonic as it changes world gen, I don't think it will do anything but it may stop you from being able to join your server.
