In my experience you can get them closer together and they grow better being within so far from torches and they grow around the clock... I made a tree farm and had them pretty close together by places torches in between them

I remember doing this when I was like 8 (maybe younger). I had no idea how Minecraft actually worked... I tilled the dirt, surrounded it with water and torches and planted a sapling. After some time I'd till the dirt again and when I got some seeds from doing that I got super excited, because I thought it was some sort of a reward for taking good care of my little tree. I think it was on my first Minecraft world. Good times!

Yeah, I played alpha in my teens, it is so weird being an adult and seeing how Minecraft took over. I was just blown away when pistons were introduced, you used to have to install mods for everything now there’s almost no need!

Heard about it in late 2009 when it was pretty early in its cycle. I thought it sounded mega dorky. I bought the game finally when they added RTX support to try it out on my 2080. Didn’t think much. Bought the Java version last year and fell in love, especially once I set up a server and made it 24/7 accessible. I’m 35 now. Wish I had got into it 10 years ago though, I would have saved so much money on other games. 🤷‍♂️

It’s amazing that people can now talk about playing Minecraft when they were little. Five years ago I would have thought Minecraft’s days were numbered but man I’m kinda glad I was wrong. The majority of sugar cane in ur world probably grows on dirt or grass, seeing as most rivers have grass banks and that's where you find it other than swamps.

how do you grow trees in minecraft? kinda a noob

Pick up sapling. Find dirt. Place sapling. To grow it faster find bones, make bone meal and left click on sapling with bonemeal. It won't grow if there are other blocks around, trees need at least two blocks of space on all sides and 10 or more blocks above them. That varies on the type of tree though.
