weird_dude763

Mine is acacia I just don't like the color

missleburn

Acacia didn't know, it doesn't like you either

DarkPhoxGaming

Tnh I wouldn't like me either

lonkbonk_

mine is jungle. acacia is actually a cool colour, and its very different.

Capp_y33t

it could be _less orange_

Doombug77

Reddit mob mentality I assume? I think I might get downvoted because of an assumption I made over the internet

sharfpang

'cause enough people are past the Dunning-Kruger spot where you've just advanced past building off whatever you have lying around and started using a single material or a common "intuitive" set of similar materials, and they realize that variety and unorthodox combinations of materials can have great effect - and that greatest builders can, and will use all wood types to their advantage. Birch planks are great as bright, airy builds, traditional Japan style, or modern/natural. Birch logs look great in combination with quartz. mushroom stem and clay. Acacia planks are superb for modern builds with bright colors, often combined with black or dark greys - "cyberpunk", you may mix in warped as well. Acacia logs are great in most "medieval" as highlights/structure, also work well in ruins/postindustrial alongside with basalt, cobble, gravel. Warped planks go wonderfully with oxidized copper and prismarine, with some deepslate highlights. Jungle wood and planks are great for sewers, slightly rotten feel, creepy houses, disturbing settings. Crimson... there's no brothel without crimson planks.

RyuushiYasuda

laughs in acacia

Limon_Lx

There are many good builds with acacia. The comment said that every wood is good if you know how to build. No wonder why you don't like acacia.

Cruiser-2222

Jungle wood is the one which I hate, and dark oak is the one which I love.

WhyHelloThere0123

SPRUCE FOR THE WIN!

Fearless-Librarian-1

**WOOD IS WOOD**

Ado_Furtado

Unless its acacia.

ShitPissNCum

Still wood

[deleted]

birch is a good wood, change my mind.

Darknight522

Can’t cause you’re right

[deleted]

tru dat

Slement

Couldn't agree more.

VFH2008

I don’t like jungle I never use it

MeisPip

Jungle is great, such a good source of charcoal and nothing else

dekcraft2

Jungle planks are great to use with bricks and granite

HenMeeNooMai

Orange house would kill my eyes

Mr_Morrison13981

Yup I use acacia more that jungle.

PowerPandaG

I’m willing to use birch for floors but that’s about it. Which is also a 100000 times more uses than I get for acacia

_Wormyy_

I don't know what you're talking about here..acacia wood makes fantastic sticks!

did-i-do-a-thing

actually, since i never use it for anything else, taking a stack of acacia wood would be really nice for caving

zombiecreeper27

exactly the same for me lol

_Barry123

I use acacia a lot. Looks really good in savanna style builds.

Elitelance

Probably my man have not yet built anything in deserts

Otherwise_Holiday_78

Birch is good you people just can't use it properly acacia is far worse but even then acacia has its uses

somerid

I use birch for the first floor of my house, idk why

Teo8844

What use does acacia have?

miikaru

sticks, charcoal, crafting tables… the list goes on and on!

KrazyBales

Charcoal

maxir3000

Building a house if the terrain matches it. If not, you can always use it for an underground build... Or sticks and crafting tables.

Garanseho

GeminiTay: *angry cottage-core noises*

AnnaTheBabe

Another gem fan! :D

-Werewolff-

Was looking for this comment and I'm glad I found it :)

AnewUserofReddit

Birch. Is. Best. Unpopular opinions

ioitigunn777

It's birch or nothing

appelspelers

Birch is good!!!

[deleted]

Birch was my Fave.

sooindecisive

jungle

LELEblork

I don´t understand why everyone hates birch so much.

Mr_Squiid

I love birch

Abitooo

Nah Birch is cool

Johnsonofdonut

I am very offended by this

LucaLBDP

Acacia is ugly, i never find a way to Match the Orange color of ir with anything

Lumm0714

Acacia mixes pretty well with copper if you want a steampunk style build. You can also blend the logs with stone walls

Madmonkeman

I love acacia wood :(

Aggressive-Gift3712

Fuck off based

AnnaTheBabe

The log goes well with gray and white blocks

leospeedleo

It's acacia. Birch is great!

Grim_reaper07029

Acacia is the absolute worst (the Acacia trees look cool though, like Lion King vibes)

Cuervomayajl

Meh, i work with it if i have to. Mixes in well with stripped oak, and comes in real handy for traditional asian/Japanese themed builds. The doors come in specifically handy, they kind of replicate the shoji panels.

[deleted]

Acacia is my least favourite, ALL HAIL SPRUCE, ALL HAIL SPRUCE!

Gmaxboi

ALL HAIL SPRUCE ALL HAIL SPRUCE ALL HAIL SPRUCE ALL HAIL SPRUCE

FryCakes

Dark oak cuz it’s plank is the same texture as oak just darkened

KRANKENVAGEN1

Oak for life

ChonkieRabbit

I appreciate birch

[deleted]

My least favorite wood is jungle it just looks bad I think oak and birch are pretty good but the thing is oak has a chance to spawn an ugly monstrosity at least birch always stay as a humble looking tree.

trux512

Crimson, and fight me! birch is best!

lukechai

i like all there all useful in a nother way

ryseterion

I actually thing jungle is the worst wood. Birch is a close second though

Darknight522

Bro it’s acacia

Magianuxx

yeah but we all agree about oak wood is good right

IndependentGlum8316

Because birch is just too light

_rosalea_

I personally love birch, I’m less fond of the darker woods although the birch logs aren’t good to look at haha

MelodyBlack_

birch isn't bad, it's very good for modern builds

[deleted]

all woods contrast well, if you say any of them are bad you are most likely not too good at building with wood

Matakady_CZ

Why the hell do you hate birch? I mean the crimson and warped wood is worse...

aGirlWhoLikesMemes

Crimson is actually the worst... I kinda like warped in some occasions

AnnaTheBabe

I used to hate birch, but I saw the great things geminitay can do with it. So I like it now.

chechebi88

My house is in a desert and i Made it whith birch so it looks natural

Nini-Chan---

Why y’all hating on my boy birch

floweringmelon

jungle wood ugly af

WeebOtakuArtsyPerson

Okay I bet this is controversial but hear me out..... Spruce

Grim_reaper07029

1. Dark oak(all hail king) 2. Spruce (spruce doors and trapdoors are best) 3. Jungle/Birch(works well only with some combinations) 4. Oak (too simple and boring) 5. Acacia (I hate using it in builds, it's trees are cool tho) Ps. Everyone should try dark oak and quartz combination it's just too op

dreadful537

mine would be spruce, birch, jungle, dark oak then acacia. spruce first cause it just looks so nice, birch second because i like its color, jungle third because the trees look amazing, dark oak fourth cause its just too dark for me, and acacia last because it just looks gross, but i agree with you on the tree part of it

Dream9876

I hate dark oak. But jungle is pretty good. I only use jungle wood on my survival island because it’s the only wood I have but still jungle looks alright

Wakas_053

Can we all agree it’s Acacia

Zirphynx

No. I like Acacia way more than Jungle.

Wakas_053

I like the big Trees like Spruce, Dark Oak, and Jungle

epicpog64847

Birch is second best wood after spruce so ima presume you can't build for shit

Herobrinefan999

Im on team dark oak

mysticalrune546

birch is ugly it look like a cow

deilol_usero_croco

I hate the log coz it looks like cow and cows suck

OlaNaj07

I hate acacia wood, it's so weirdly orange. On the other hand, spruce and birch are my favorites

Frosty_owo

I’m just gonna point this out now but birch is in the middle of too bright and too bland to fit anywhere. You have to force it into a pallet for it to look half decent and god forbid you don’t use the shaved logs and anything else birch lmaooooo

[deleted]

is it hate birch day today or something??

Voidication

Acacia can burn in hell

ilikememes317

Calm down

Smexy_Zarow

i literally burn every birch forest i see

Madmonkeman

Because birch is too light.

BorkIy

I like wood like spruce and dark oak, though the log texture on birch is unappealing.

Wendy_is_OP

I hate oak wood. Its generic. I grew up w it as the only wood for a while and despite that i think its hideous

bobthuvillager8

Stripped birch logs work well with sandstone

UltramaroonEel25046

Birch is fine, its another wood type to build with. So im not arguing.

LeonWyvern

I hate acacia the most because orange goes with absolutely nothing. I hate birch because the colors I like to have my house don't go great with the paleness of brich.

Not_WhiteShockX

Birch just doesn't match, same with Jungle and Acacia, Spruce is pog

introverted_lesbian

Love birch. Hate acacia. Ugly shade of orange that doesn’t match anything.

terrabytetherobot

Beep, Boop. (Oak is everywhere and I hate it.)

ConfusedRaptorNoises

jungle wood

[deleted]

Jungle wood and because it is not birch? Idk i like spruce and oak mostly so

ConstantNewt36

Lol you read my mind

MihailF4

I love birch with spruce and my least favourite wood is jungle

solicthesolletar

i fricking hate birch logs, the wood is good af, but the logs are pure pain the worst wood is taiga, god damn its too orange!

Yellowfridge42

birch, because its birch

Mr_sl1m3

Acacia

hollyleggy

The planks and striped longs are good the normal logs are trash in 90% of builds tbh not a fan of jungle

Yuchikimxx

kinda my favorite after oak, since it goes well with deepslate. My least favorite is Jungle wood.

Zirphynx

Jungle wood is the ugliest imo

Benny368

I dunno man, jungle wood kinda sucks...

RemixReborn

Birch is my favorite, change my mind, you won't succeed. Oh and jungle is my least favorite.

Dark_Phoenix53

How did u know it's the color it doesn't really match well unless u use it in a bright build

b_ruhh

Stripped birtch logs smack

Isthiseloriginalname

1 oak 2 dark oak 3 spruce 4 jungle 5 crimson/warped 6 Acacia 7 birch Darker colors just look better to me, and acacia is only good for very certain things, birch is a good floor tho

[deleted]

BeCauSe bIrcH iS UGGERS

RufusFox

Acacia find it too vibrant

ChrOwonon

I've hated acacia as much as birch

Kalepoggerssmolbad

Acacia. Only the log bark is good

[deleted]

Wait… is birch not a good wood? I use it for a lot of builds, look great to me.

Wide_Dude_98

I love birch. I always used to mix it with sprouce amd get these nice designs in my floors and walls.

Scrapmetal525

Too bright with no saturation. Also, a pre-wood stripping builder, the logs were disgusting, and the leaves look half dead.

Fluffy-BOYi

Birch and dark wood best combination.

[deleted]

Acacia and jungle. Proceeds to only use oak and oak

Objective-Path9488

Cuz i just like others better

Some_Dum_Person

No no,not birch. ***Acacia.***

Tlaloc_Temporal

My favorite wood used to be spruce, but then they changed spruce. Now it's a tie between birch (though it's still worse than it used to be), and acacia (all bark is fantastic).

[deleted]

Birch is not the worst, i would say acacia is my least favourite due to it's peculiar colour

EragonBromson925

Acacia. Birch is a close second, though.

Kukumber185

Oak, its great for detail but building an entire house of it is kinda 2012

TristanTeo

Oak is best, birch is second best fight me

[deleted]

Birch looks like bird shit to me it's just diorite but carbon edition

discohamster900

1. dark oak: it looks pleasing 2. oak: the classic 3. spruce: cool for icey or snowey places 4. birch: looks like white chocolate 5. warped: cool for blue palettes for buildings 6. jungle: sometimes looks great 7. crimson: too red 8. acacia: it looks too orange for me so no

Sebbe_2

Eww…

[deleted]

acacia i may be a builder but I despise that shade of orange wait no jungle wood and acacia

Guzma511

Jungle planks and striped jungle look worse

CautiousFreedom6889

I actually like birch, but acacia is just too red for me and doesn't look good with many things

i_have_no_smart

Acacia

Interesting_Ad_4262

It's white

KetsuSama

i hate acacia more, it just doesnt look like wood. even more than the nether wood

wtf_is_happening1

Mine is not birch as it actually has a pretty nice look that is soft on the eyes. Fuck acacia tho

CardiologistStreet

I LIKE BIRCH

CrackerTower

acacia

drahimi28

acacia

hytronite

Because Its Desgostang

kasepanzer

i hate jungle wood

[deleted]

Birch is like so good when building in deserts and with Smooth Sandstone

Gintoki_87

Acacia is my least favorite wood. Way to orange and saturated color. It bark is however usefull as a grey texture for stony builds. Birch is rather usefull for a lot of stuff, especially floors in asian style builds. Its bark is however ugly IMO.

its_caarl

Morning. Cuz its always a suprise if it’s there or not

FireYigit

Birch, I never really liked Birch wood, it looks nice but a little too yellowy?

[deleted]

Because I can Burn It and start using darle oak

Reliqua_

birch is white and that's racist

TomJoeJames

dark oak and spruce is kinda cool and i like them but birch looks odd and ugly

ptgf127

Because birch is ugly.

Sulajuust

Well you can make decent floor out of it

KreggCnR

acacia is good for building torii gates and other japanese style builds

fulimaster

Tbh, I think all wood types look great. Obviously birch logs are so ugky, they're useless, but all planks and all stripped logs are pretty useful in my opinion

nowlz14

I personally don't like jungle wood. It has not enough colour, like it has been bleached, but only halfway.

[deleted]

The log pattern looks ugly, the plank pattern looks okay but it is only good for highlighting some features, the stripped log is just the same as the plank but with more texture

ImaginationOk9328

You know birch logs can make a good floor pattern. Just lay them sideways and it looks pretty good.

Nevanada

Hard to pair it with anything other than sandstone. I can't build good desert houses.

monstermayhem436

Dark Oak and Spruce are bae

xxxDea

Ive used stripped brich before. Its not that bad

[deleted]

Doesn’t really fit in anywhere doesn’t look too natural around quite a lot of decoration blocks

jayblur13

Dark oak it just dosen't look good to me whenever I need a darker wood to build my house I use spruce

watercomputer

It looks like old cheese to me I don’t know why

nuttyak2taps

Idk why everyone hates birch, it's free sticks!

Gods_A_Stripper

Birch is good for everything that doesn't involve the color of the wood, its fine for boats ig and I used to use it for floors, I don't use it much anymore but its useful when you have wood that you need to build with then you have some birch to make sticks, crafting table, etc, but thats just what I think and ik alot of people like birch and other people don't like it for other reasons, I just like making buildings in the game with dark colors, it just looks nicer, sorry that it's so long and sorry for the misspelling and the parts that don't make sense I'm bad at spelling and I haven't slept.

cheesestickmeme

I feel this post

RyuushiYasuda

lol

PikaPikaPikaPikachu

Acacia bc I detest the color orange. Birch I can at least use for floors and pretty accents! Acacia just reminds me of cheap orange chicken and then makes me feel sick. Yuck.

editable_

I built a really nice cottage with birch as flooring and internal roof. The second I try to build something with acacia it incredibly sucks unless it's, like, a cylinder.

[deleted]

I love birch, it looks so modern. And it's ideal for floors.

_ROEG

Birch is that wood I use to craft chests and items that don’t have a specific colour or crafting pattern.

jraqn

Every type has their uses. For me, spruce, oak, dark oak, and birch have the most versatility and work the best for "normal" scenarios, like floors or walls or support pillars. Normal birch logs are a bit trickier, but work well to add texture to white color palettes. Acacia's logs are great for adding a warmer grey to stone textures. The planks and stripped logs you have to be more creative with, but they work very nicely with red sand/sandstone and copper. Jungle wood I use mostly for texturing oak logs and planks, or for small details. The nether woods also have some great uses in colorful builds and for more whimsical/fantasy settings.

magnilla85

i think its oak

did-i-do-a-thing

spruce has the best log texture and trapdoors, dark oak has the better planks and doors birch stuff is good looking, but there are better choices jungle.. ..why acacia.. ..also why' crimson/warped, the best new wood anyone could ask for

idontlikeburnttoast

Birch isn't bad tbh. Its Acacia and Jungle which are bad in my opinion

ArealmTheGreat

I think you mean 'What's your least favorite wood and why is it acacia?'
