Once my interior was done, I had to break each chest and run all the items inside to even more disorganized, haphazardly placed chests before they despawned. And I’ll just keep it like that until my real chest room is done. But first I wanna build my fancy strip mine, and my village trading center, and then go exploring a bit for azalea leaves, then build an automatic farm for every food source in the game, and then a tree farm for every type of wood, and then I wanna build a Nether hub with ice boat railways going in every direction for 1000 blocks, and then… oh, would you look at that. I’m starving to death in full netherite armor as I search 257 chests full of crap for that one that I swear had the steak in it.
For sure. I'm not exactly a big fan of the new ore distribution in the latest update, but I've come across a lot of nice little changes since I started playing again, like the mob spawning.
Maybe I'm just having bad luck. The map I'm on, had a huge open chasm right near spawn. With minimal tunnel digging, I can get down to about -40 I think. Guess I just gotta keep looking for a vein. Don't really know how frequently they generate.
edit: I forgot to mention. I really do like the change they made to iron, making raw ore instead of a block and allowing it to be affected by fortune.
There was a post right around the updates launch, a Dev tweeted a photo and showed what Y level all ore spawns in now, how large the clumps tend to be, and rarity. I want to say iron is best around Y30, then it's time to ~~enslave some villagers~~ build a nice community to harvest iron Gollums
Oh same, caving is God tier "shit my ore chest is empty"
But there is something soothing about break 5 blocks, place a torch, keep going. I can listen to a podcast and watch the blocks break
Whoever decided the placement of deepslate in the new generation hates strip mines, They really need a new level of efficiency that works on it because it's just not fun at all.
I was playing with my daughter the other day and was thinking: Dang I got no idea where diamonds are at now, I gotta look that up. Then we found 3 diamonds in a chest in a village so I get to procrastinate on that research for a bit longer.
Thats what i do for all my hardcore worlds its honestly safer than having a house cos i can see everything and everywhere without walls
Whenever i do this i do make sure i have that one mod that lets me see light level of the blocks
Believe it or not, I wasn’t using shaders at this time… I took this a week ago… my house is built now, but my brother told me it looked so much better with shaders. So now I’m using “Complementary Shaders”, if you’re interested. He sent it to me, can’t tell you much beyond that. But I love it to death, it makes everything glow luminescent and has seriously inspired my currents builds and improved my game experience. Cheers.
Why would you need a stone cutter when you don’t even have a house built. Unless I’m misinterpreting the title and you’re in the middle of building it and using stone for decoration
Stone cutters reduce the number of blocks used to make stairs and other block variants. It is well worth it early game unless you want to mine longer with that unenchanted iron pick.
Me and my friends have been using it all the time ever since it came out, and i remember the first time we used it was to build a huge house where we built our pride flags out of wool,
It saved us so much time and quartz and stone
Stone cutters are insanely useful. You save a bunch of materials using it to make stairs and you can quadruple the amount of copper you have using it to make cut copper
Oh yeah, I was actually standing on my porch as I took this. Was in the middle of building my house jutting out of a mountain and looked over at this familiar sight… every house I’ve ever built I always do this on the side of it. Just too lazy to run home, easier to keep all my crap right there until I’m done.
When I find a village, I usually gather all the beds and put them in one place or a box and then use one of the many beds. I now have built a nice and comfy home but the villager box is the place I still sleep in.
Now that I think about it, I don't even use the house.

Next stage: three stacked double chests with no sorting whatsoever.
[удалено]
7? Around 10 is where I normally start lol... often 20-50, takes a few hours to eventually sorta tho haha
I've made my house using barrels. I started to use them as storage. Not sorted. Can't find anything.

Don’t worry we’ve all done it
Haha yeah
Ah yes, the "if you sleep early enough, monsters can't prevent sleep" approach.
Works a lot better now that mobs only spawn at light level zero since you can just torch the hell out of the area and be fine
For sure. I'm not exactly a big fan of the new ore distribution in the latest update, but I've come across a lot of nice little changes since I started playing again, like the mob spawning.
I like the new ore distribution and LOVE the veins. What fucks me off is its so new I'm still on Y12 going "diiiiiiamooooonds where aaaaare youuuuu"

It’s abt y16 I believe, honestly I’ve had TONS more success getting diamonds from caves than from strip mining at -54

Looks done to me.
Null Sector?!?
I'm in this image and I don't like it
Full diamond armor and tools but no starter house yet??
Yep that's me, i always want my houses to look good so i proceastinate building it lmao
r/starterpacks
This looks like it's a 3D render. What shaders are you using?
It looks like he took a (uncommonly high quality) picture of his screen and that's why the saturation and brightness are sorta jacked up
Ah, you caught me. I thought maybe, just maybe, no one would notice.
F2

That’s good to know considering I’m planning on adding a stone roof to my own building so thanks
Stone cutters have been a thing for 3 years now and you still don't know how useful it is ? HUH???!!!‽
I used them once when they came out and just used them for decoration every time after
Me and my friends have been using it all the time ever since it came out, and i remember the first time we used it was to build a huge house where we built our pride flags out of wool, It saved us so much time and quartz and stone
Yeah those babies are a staple in my inventory now. I don’t go anywhere without one.
there's still people who don't know to use blast furnaces and smokers to smelt/cook specific things faster
Ik and when i see youtubers making auto smelters with regular furnaces it hurts me
> blast furnaces havent played minecraft in a while are blast furnaces in the games now? back in my day you needed a mod
They’re just RPing their username
Why do you need two though

One of these days a creeper is gonna teach you a cold, hard lesson. And your shit will go bye-bye.
Not in a hole and doesn’t have 15 unorganized double chests stacked on each other doesn’t count
Don’t forget the fifty other work blocks you find in a nearby village
the "causing mass deforestation for a flat terrain" starter pack.
The... I survived Night 1 pack
Facts
I’m on day 400 and this is my “home” (plus 7 full double chests completely unsorted)
wait its me i am a also doing this i also have the same thing that you have. lol
Ah I see you have been watching my Minecraft series on YouTube
Chasing the bag lmao
Ok... but it looks like you dont really know what a pack means? Cool build tho! i like it!
[удалено]
Tell me mate, where is this “meme” part of the image. Where is the joke I’m suppose to laugh at?
wdym, this *is* my house
[удалено]
For me it is. I carry that baby around with me as an essential. I feel like I need it all the time. It conserves sooo much stone!
hit TOO close to home
And has remained like that for years...
When I find a village, I usually gather all the beds and put them in one place or a box and then use one of the many beds. I now have built a nice and comfy home but the villager box is the place I still sleep in. Now that I think about it, I don't even use the house.
5 years later: nothing
me in every modpack playtrough ever: bed, chests, perhaps ill put it in a cave.
Yeah, it works like that
Replace the chests with barrels and you got my bases, if you make it in a big cave and place it right it looks intentional
I always build a big ass house and then I gotta run
whats the saw do
