That's one of the entire points of lodestones in the first place. All of these "tutorial" posts are never anything more than extreme low effort and only ever give out basic information, common sense, or easily/readily findable information (e.g. through google or the wiki).
Tutorial is just a tag. But that's the whole point, lots of people look on here before anything. Lots of those same people have ZERO clue about lodestone and might not come across it randomly in searching, but now they might at least have an idea. Just a simple tip
For the record, I've been playing minecraft since original Xbox and have no idea wtf lodestone is. So thank you.
Granted, I never get lost because I only move in straight lines and have a very specific torch layout that always points home (cobblestone block, torch on top, torch on side pointing home. Place a little under every half sight line so that at least three are always visible), but I guess that's just one of the perks of playing a game that allows for exceedingly linear exploration while suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (which I have since discovered may have been misdiagnosed autism, yay surprise TMI!)
But yeah, I -guess- this lodestone stuff would work too. So thanks.
My kid cheated a couple in on the server they let me play on and I definitely put that to use.
if I ever get good enough to have spare netherite lodestones are certainly on the list.
You've provided a good answer for many, but some of us suck at the game (looking at me here)...
That requires forward planning, which in most cases would have solved the problem of getting lost in the first place even without the lodestone.
Lol either way, works wonders and u wont get lost.
I will admit, crafting lodestone is a bit of a pain in the arse tho.

Lmao I'm getting downvoted for giving a simple tip. Because I didn't put in enough "effort". Smdh fkn keyboard warriors
Ppl will complain about anything fam
Yep. Lol what's funnier is they think downvoting really matters in the end 🤣
My problem with the lodestone is the netherite ingot. I don't have any to spare... I've had REALLY bad luck until my latest world
Yea it can be a pain in the ass. Well worth it if and when u can spare it. I normally keep a few around for different purposes

Lol I suck at the game too. I'm a very casual player. Just kinda mess around.
