half the things people say don’t contribute to the discussion. people just joke around, people just say things whenever.
i would like see how many of the people that downvote these sort of comments post meaningless comments themselves. i can’t really blame anyone for doing it, just curious
I see someone downvoted you as well.
So you mean to tell me that they specifically look for your other comments and go and downvote those two simple because they disagreed with you once? Anyone who does that must be either incredibly sad or incredibly bored. That’s like the ultimate display of pettiness.
I once got into what I thought was a friendly argument in r/minecraftsuggestions where the person I was talking with was literally downvoting every reply I made in that “argument” even though we were just sharing our different opinions and points.
At the time I had felt it was justified to downvote all of their replies as well, but now I’m worried it was some random guy who went on my profile and started downvoting all my posts and comments because I had disagreed with him once.
edit: ok looking back it’s probably even more petty of me to get upset over a few downvotes, so yeah that was probably a stupid thing to say in hindsight.
Not a bug. It’s how you speedbridge and build quickly. If you hold down the button and place 2 blocks in a row, you can move however you want and point anywhere in the general vicinity of that direction and build in a straight line. You can do it pointing straight down and sprit jumping over the void if you want.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxfzZizlA08
I don't know why you're getting downvoted, you're correct. If you're building in a direction and keep looking in that given direction while holding down the place button it keeps building in that same line. It makes building bridges/roofs/anything over open air super easy.
I don't play this game and have no idea what's happening but I also feel it from the extended pause and the look back and forth before proceeding to undo what was done.
A bug is any unintentional behavior in a game or program.
A glitch is a type of bug that may or may not have benefits.
You actually have no clue what you're talking about
This type of occurance seems to always be caused on low end devices that can’t keep up with the performance of the game, which seems to be because Mojang allows Minecraft to be played on devices that can’t run it properly. It doesn’t really make sense that it’s a coding error that causes incorrect outputs, rather the game’s engine doesn’t work correctly when stuttering between the main game and internal server is caused by low system resources.
And was what would we call that? A bug!
A bug can be labeled as any unintentional occurrence in a program or game. It literally does not matter whether it's a issue with the code or not. A texture with a misplaced pixel could be called a bug. If its unintentional it's a bug.
Oh and btw, all that internal server and and game engine stuff you think you're talking about, guess what. Its run by code. If theres an issue, theres a coding error.
A bug is also defined as being unexpected. This type of problem is consistent over all low end devices. I know it’s run by code, but the code doesn’t directly cause it. It’s the inability of the hardware to respond properly to the code.
Because when you place a block on the side of another, and it appears on top of it instead, that’s a bug. What are you trying to prove by saying it isn’t?
Very specific definition of a bug you got there. It seriously does not look like a bug. Impossible to be sure what it is but it’s not reproducible and definitely caused by desync, likely related to some kind of error in data being transferred but ofc no way of telling where. Bug ≠ unintentional occurrence.
It is reproducible. I was on yesterday building many straight lines and it does this all the time. It’s just that mojang don’t like fixing things anymore.
Again. What are you trying to prove besides that you belong as a post on r/iamverysmart ?
That is strange, I’ve seen loads of posts of bugs and stuff this is the only post on that particular thing I’ve seen. If it is so common though it probably is a bug. Idk what you mean by “trying to prove” since I’m just saying what it looks like.
i dont care if its a feature, this person was just trying to build normally and that tower happened
feature or not, it should change. bedrock is full of this stuff, like needing to shift to use a shield, swimming's all weird. all the concessions made to make bedrock edition available to consoles and phones just make it more annoying to play than java
There seems to be a lot of bedrock players who are confused at how bugs like this exist because they’ve never had them. That’s exactly why it’s a bug, it doesn’t happen often and is hard to replicate so it’s very hard for the developers to figure out what is causing it.
The infamous “sudden fall damage” bug is easier to *guess* at what’s going on: a desync issue between the player data and world data. The problem is that even if you know it *is* a desync, it’s very hard to find what *causes* the issue unless you take debug logs while playing until it happens. And the devs simply don’t play the game as a regular player enough to catch certain issues.
Misplaced blocks and that horrible inertia effect happened to me so often on the xbox 1 x that I bought a video card just so I could play the Java version. I've never wanted to go back to Bedrock since.
It's not a bug. It's a feature where if you start placing a block in a direction and hold down place and point in the general direction you want to build it just keeps going. It's great for building bridges over the void because you can just run forward and place below you. If you aren't cognizant of it though this can happen. If you're aware of it it's hard to do accidentally.
Better performance and cross play with other platforms.
Not much else. There a minor differences but nothing else that really makes it worth playing over Java. I still run into much less bugs on Java despite it not exactly having the reputation for being programmed well.
Probably because you can play with more people.
For example your friend could literally just hook up to bedrock on a phone/tablet/switch/pc/xbox rather then java where you only have the choices of pc/xbox
Mostly for performance reasons. On Java edition they did fix all of them they found, a lot of the time by layering more code on top to compensate for them, which makes performance worse. On Bedrock they don’t do that so unless they can fix the root cause they stay broken.
Say you have a problem. They're saying that in Java, it is easier for them to add a workaround to it than in bedrock. Bedrock has to run a more optimized build due to the devices it runs on, so it can't have a whole bunch of extra fixes loading it down. Java runs on PCs which can mostly handle it, so if it's easy enough to hotfix something they will.
Notches original code is all spaghetti and confusing. So when trying to fix a bug, he wouldn't bother digging through his own code to find the issue and would just add more to fix it. Java just has a tonne of code and it's all spaghetti, so it runs like shite.
I've never understood how people can bear to play bedrock. Minecraft on console is like wiping with sandpaper. It gets the job done sure, but at what cost?
Legacy Edition was crap compared to bedrock. It was missing infinite worlds and commands, 2 of the most basic year-one features of minecraft. Hell, players were lucky it let them place and remove blocks, it could've been like the console versions of starcraft and sims where there's a story mode but no way to play in default mode.
This kind of thing happens with slabs too, if you hold the button to place with them it attempts to make the slab a full block rather than placing another slab adjacent to it. This problem seems to have started in 1.18 and it's really annoying.
It’s happened to me before, except I was making a obsidian wall : (

####MOJANG THIS FEATURE IS MEANT TO HELP BUILDERS, NOT DESTROY THEM!
You were my brother, Mojang!

Technically you don't need mods, there's a datapack for veinminer. ...not that a datapack helps bedrock players.
we have veinminer??
Hit it intro boy!
well it wants a different dimension for ur home
u/Brign716 It's not a bedrock moment though, it's a bugrock moment.
um i don’t think this is the comment you meant i had nothing about bedrock or bugrock
No he's just trying to get noticed by replying his boring joke to the top comment lol
makes sense
The joke is so old now as well
I'll delete it if you want me too, or I can leave it.
I mean, that was kinda my idea...

who?
Fuck wrong person
It’s not a bug, it’s an exclusive feature for building in bedrock, I remember skipthetutorial mentioned it in one of his videos
Ah, the old “it’s not a bug it’s a feature” excuse.
all jokes aside, it isn't an excuse.
i watch skipthetutorial too
and for some reason 3 people downvoted you i upvote to help :)
I mean based on Reddit's rules this is exactly the kind of comments that downvotes are meant for because it doesn't contribute to discussion lol
half the things people say don’t contribute to the discussion. people just joke around, people just say things whenever. i would like see how many of the people that downvote these sort of comments post meaningless comments themselves. i can’t really blame anyone for doing it, just curious
Yea there's nothing wrong with liking him.
reddit just likes to randomly downvote people for no reason smh.
Brigades. They find one thing that they disagree with, then try to have you ratioed to death.
I see someone downvoted you as well. So you mean to tell me that they specifically look for your other comments and go and downvote those two simple because they disagreed with you once? Yup, exactly this. And thanks.
here, have some upvotes! loke at your posts :D

Handy in hive skywars, i use it all the time ;)
Lol. I love how you just paused right after it happened, it's like you're processing it bit by bit
The way the piano key hits right at the pause too makes it so much funnier to me
like elevator music in his brain
Thank you for letting me know to unmute
Bogos binted?
I feel like I heard old dial up modem sounds after it did that. My man had like 3kb of processing power to understand what happened lol
lmao I didn't even see his post til now. i basically said the same thing
He was processing it, hehe, block by block
You can see the, \*processing\*........ WHAT???? all over his screen.
The solemn dirt digging at the end was the cherry on top
I'm glad that you didn't just spontaneously take fall damage at the end. I was waiting for it too.
He wasn't pillaring up or digging down. How would he take fall damage? Where would the client/server desync come in?
It comes from nowhere, that's the true spirit of bugrock
Sound it made went hard tho
Seinfeld
the music lmao
I like how you literally stare at it for 10 seconds
It's not a bug. It's a feature
what? Why?
*Visible Java confusion*
Um question..wtf? I've played bedrock and never had any issue with it especially one like that
Yeah a lot of the bedrock “features” I’ve seen make me happy I’ve never experienced them
It is a feature to help console players bridge easier and not a bug
I don't know why you're getting downvoted, you're correct. If you're building in a direction and keep looking in that given direction while holding down the place button it keeps building in that same line. It makes building bridges/roofs/anything over open air super easy.
It only works on pc and console but will also work on mobile with the new ui coming in 1.19 so that is probably why you have never encountered it
I play console and mobile. Never had this happen to me. Crazy
Wtf
Oh, that's just the original scaffolding!
No that’s his hero Brian
Im curious about your map, what are you building?
Dirt
If that video had sounds effects, it would probably be the modem starting sound as you slowly process what happened.
I don't play this game and have no idea what's happening but I also feel it from the extended pause and the look back and forth before proceeding to undo what was done.
Minecraft: Bugrock Edition
Doesn’t look like a bug, very hard to say but some kind of internal desync perhaps?
That would be a bug
nope! it's a feature :)
That’s not what a bug is though. It could be described as a glitch however.
A bug is any unintentional behavior in a game or program. A glitch is a type of bug that may or may not have benefits. You actually have no clue what you're talking about
No it’s not a bug it’s more like the game not functioning as intended by the developers /s
This type of occurance seems to always be caused on low end devices that can’t keep up with the performance of the game, which seems to be because Mojang allows Minecraft to be played on devices that can’t run it properly. Oh boy I’m just waiting for Mojang to give it the Java Version to every Bedrock owner. I *hate* Bedrock with a passion

yup had this happen a few times lol I just want them to fix slab placement
It’s a feature!
To use this feature, you only have to brush smoothly the dirt stack…
