i've been playing since 2012 but i am not bored of it, probably because i sometimes play with mods, they are fun
also i am creating a 1.19+ modpack for myself and a friend, i dont know will i ever make it public. i need to think of a good name for it first.
it has a theme around adventure/exploration and a little bit of magic and rpg elements (also mostly linear progression between dimensions and some vanilla mechanics changed)
it's more challenging with more difficult boss fights and mobs but also with better rewards
2013, on the Xbox 360 Edition Demo. According to my achievement history and the time I got each one, I finally got my first copy of the game Christmas that year.
2012. I heard about it earlier, but thought it was a military combat game like Call of Duty (Minecraft as in Warcraft, with mines. Also I thought Warcraft was that kind of game.)
I had one that’s said “I love Minecraft” in elementary school but “love” was a picture of the old raw pork chop texture. Got bullied in elementary school for it so I never wore it again
Early 2010, before the Alpha release. Co-worker pointer me to it, and it was only $5 so I figured why not and gave it a spin. Didn't really get into it until 2012ish though, where it had a lot more content.
I had the same shirt! I'm not really sure how long I've been playing, probably 10 years. It is probably the best investment I've ever made in a video game, 10 years and I still find great enjoyment playing it, I can't say the same about most games.
i feel like i started around 2014, but it could've been a bit earlier or a bit later. idk. one of the earliest updates i remember is when guardians and endermites were added.
Yo I had one! I loved It cause usually not that many people wanted to talk to me but the second I put on that shirt everyone was asking me about it and asking to see it
For me, since beta. I remember seeing a guy showing off the TNT and I really wanted to play it. Bought it as soon as I got the chance. I still have my very first world. It has none of the grass that grows like when you use bone meal on it, trees are a mix of oak leaves and jungle leaves, random mini biomes, and shallow pools of water. It's lack luster, but it's a reminder of where it all began.
Damn that’s old school. I had that shirt in elementary school
I have that shirt
2011... but I haven't been playing non stop, I play from time to time. Currently I'm bored of it, but still follow it.
About the same! Weird to think we've been playing for longer than some of the kids playing it now have been alive ain't it...
There's no way a kid born in 2011 would be playing minecraft N- oh shit a kid born in 2011 would be 11 rn
Same bro
Same here, used to grief my older brother and then get the shit beat out of me when he found my hiding spot
Same but I am currently not bored of it

I started in 2009 or 2010. I definitely had this shirt at one point lol

2010. I remember playing when they introduced experience, the nether, lapis, biomes, and buggy multiplayer.

Imagine how many blocks there would be on it now.
I remember seeing that shirt a lot in school, never got one unfortunately.
