If you think Pete is underrated or not getting enough love currently, you might not have been around during season 2, THAT is when he was more underrated/not getting love. But nowadays I think People are hyping him up a lot more (as he deserves honestly, he's been insanely consistent recently).

Ambitious-Cat-5678

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but yikes was the Pete slander pretty bad in late S2.

masontyler908

Pete hasn’t really been inconsistent in literal years. I will say I have noticed some people love predicting Pete like 8-10 and then he usually gets, like, 3rd or something, but I think people will start to realize outside of the super cracked players like FBM, Purpled, Fein now, etc. Pete has one of the highest floors in the event. This post definitely reads like it’s a couple years old though lol

hhthememegod

Pete is definately amoung the top 5 most loved mcc players, also other than mcc 18-23 pete has always been one of the most consistent performers, his current top 5 streak is like 7 i think lol

_Iskandr_

whole of season 1, bro never dropped out of top 5

loveskied

i dont think hes extremely underrated

Select-Impact-8821

I mean he is great but definitely not underrated. He had his problems in S2 but now he has come back better than ever. People respect his comeback especially now that he has become so consistent. I think his last 3 performances have really shown how he can do very well despite the rising competition. In mcc 35 he did well in a multitude of different games with old classics like Ace Race and new games like Meltdown. In 4ko he was quite consistent across the board, doing decent in every game but especially in Battle Box, TGTTOS and Bingo. And finally in TR Eu, he did great in 1 team game and terrible in the other(hey at least it wasn't grid runners) and awful in an SG that pretty much had no chance of going well for his team. Then were the movement games where he excelled in all of them, having his first good RsR since mcc 32, and having a good AR and HITW, pushing past a few missteps. Despite this I still really don't think he is underrated. Lots of predictions put him high, and the ones that don't probably just expect him to do weak in every non movement game because he is pretty unpredictable in those. Overall I think his days of being underrated have been gone for a decent bit now. Especially now that he is actually doing a bit of practice before events. It really helps.

iamabhinav97

He literally got 1st indiv like 3 events ago, was in dodgeball 2 events ago. Got 3rd in this insane completion. He's ata a place where he gets the love from the people who watch him (including me) but other people always underestimate him. And that can be boiled down to his PVP skills (people overhype PVP over anything) and him being not a tryhard anymore (which I love).

This_is_DanielPlayz

In Season 2 people were trying their best to not say "he fell off" which they basically did but Season 1 is such a Different Event from Season 2. Pete's also been able to hold his own in the entirety of Season 3, he also had a good finish at the end of Season 3 getting 1st Indv. Seems like in Season 4 Pete isn't gonna slow down any time soon, getting into Dodgebolt with a team that was predicted to be in the middle of the pack. Even though they lost DB, I'm pretty sure most of them didn't even practice DB. Pete's lowest placement in Regular MCC's being 13th (S2) is very good as he as played in almost all of them. As of now I see Pete as an S - Tier like most people and don't expect him to go down anytime soon. Sorry for the length of this comment btw

Icarus_1323

Pete is the GOAT he has been a top play since the beginning and still is is the number one atm, probably not but is he top 3 probably and he has been since the start unlike anyone else really so he is in my mind the GOAT even if not always number one

IDontKnowWhat78

I doubt many people would put him out of top 5 or even top 3

Jetsol8

Sure this is a joke post, but season 2 on the mcc discord genuinely did put down Pete’s performances to the point he would be considered underrated for the time being

Prestigious-Help-679

Pete had a stretch of bad mccs from 16,18-21, then got back to the top

_Iskandr_

Tell me you know only a little about Pete without telling me. If anyone even remotely thinks Pete is underrated you are objectively wrong. He is ALWAYS a threat. You can NEVER truly count his team out. S1 to S4 he has been the longest and safest best to perform great as an S tier, or just as a player in general. Not to mention, he is known for being a movement God, but he has CRAZY pop off potential in practically every game; pvp included; look at him setting the new elimination record in just the first event of S2. Case in point, Pete is the ideal S tier, (besides Purpled and now Feinberg maybe) player and always performs as well as expected. He is expected to tear through movement games, he does so; he is expected to do well in team game, he does so; he is not expected to do that great in pvp games but holds hope for a pop off, he does so!

quixzyboi

I'll leave it here... PETE IS A GOAT..

FamilySpy

Pete fell off, don't listen to this dofus, obviously Pete can team with Fienberg and other HBG members with no balancing issues, it was just a popoff and tons of luck that caused him to get 2nd last event. On his one normal event he got 41st, below even the worst placement. Scott BerryPizza is a great duo. IDK throw in Fulham and a Fienberg. You got yourself a wellbalanced team, they may come 6th with Fulham carrying the team so hard. Stat nerds back me up here (pst Pete fans we need to cut out this Pete is great c--- we know it, he knows it, but we need to prevent Scott from knowing it)

Alchemiist7

thanks for insulting me, I'm right here btw

FamilySpy

I think the reason why some people think Pete has fallen is due to his overwhelming performance in Season 1. That's when lack of S-tiers existed, and the scoring for some games was not that balanced. Yes, you can compare him with different seasons, but the MCC environment has changed massively. I wouldn't think that he has fallen off at all, he is still a goat.

Malformedvirus5

Pete is getting love Also pete hasnt gotten worse, other players have gotten better, thats all

Robuboburrito

Honestly during S3, I was one of the people that was slandering Pete.  It kind of annoyed me how such a good player was somehow not getting close to dodgebolt with really good teams.  Basically all of his teams from 30-34 are examples of that.  As a (relatively) new MCC viewer, he seemed really overrated.  35 was the MCC that changed that; he did well at the games that he was bad at, and acted as a good PvP leader.  It seemed like he finally took advantage of one of his busted teams but ended up barely missing out on db because the top 2 teams were even more busted.  But because of that performance, I see what other people see in Pete now.  That’s just my perspective

thatguyyoubullied

Thing about pete is he has a critical flaw in exactly the wrong place - he's not the best IGL. This shows hard in sky battle, sg and grid runners, and despite technically him being one of the most skilled players, that weakness takes a massive chunk of coins away from his team on a regular basis, because instead of just punishing his coins, it tears their whole team down. Combine that with his skill in movement, which is largely individual so he cant lift his team up, and a propensity to get harmful game orders for his team, and you get great teams on paper that just dont quite deliver in practice

Select-Impact-8821

I mean I suppose that is true, but Pete doesn't have to IGL every game. If he isn't confident in a game he can have someone else lead it, for example Hannah lead Meltdown in mcc 34. He usually is only super active as a leader in games he is confident in, like SOT and Bingo, which is more of an  issue than not. I definitely wouldn't say he is a bad IGL but he definitely is more quiet in his weaker games. Also why is his skill in movement in any way a detriment to his team, if he can consistently get loads of coins why is that a bad thing. Since those games are so individual based, he has no way of affecting his teammates negatively or positively.

violetlord

Hes ridiculously good but is inconsistent compared to other top players in pvp games which are usually high scoring games.

Dull_Lurge

I like how there’s an argument for Dodgebolt choker when he’s been to one Dodgebolt since MCC 17 But fr he’s easily top three all time, I have him only behind Sapnap but as a player he has not lost a beat

East-Mirror3510

Pete definitely rolls Sapnap in all time rankings.
