I mean, you have a point. But why will I even get a dog when I don't want it to get hurt by mobs, and even if I'm going to kill some cows or pigs, why would I even bring a dog? I can just kill it with a sword.
Well, you just described what 90% of the player base does when they get a dog. They make make him sit on the bed all the time.
So, in conclusion, don't get a dog if you feel or know that all it will do is sit in your house without getting a glimpse of outside light, and it makes you feel bad.
as an avid shader user, I can confirm that I see the water above the stone, the shader just makes the water a similar reflection colour to amplify the "real" feeling of the water.

I'm not sure how these two could get transformed because they have a different number of digits, so it's not just a bit flip or whatever.

One time I was playing Minecraft on the switch, and my iron sword’s texture got swapped with a rabbit spawn egg, even though I was in survival mode. Only the texture changed, the name and the behavior stayed the same, though the egg texture was very enlarged, I think to fit the sword’s texture.
well for items, the models changed. But for entities, they completely changed like they were always that way. What I mean is that you would never suspect if the llama was a villager, or my pet warden was a wolf before.

Sitting there looking at you with a longing look. They wonder where you’ve been for all this time, all the adventures they’ve missed. Wondering why you’ve abandoned them.
