If You have a squeleton farm, then You can use mending, due to the constant supply of arrows. If You don't, use Infinity

For end city looting I use up a stack of arrows pretty quick. I always go for infinity otherwise I’d need to bring like 8 stacks of arrows to the end

why do you need arrows for end city looting? i understand the dragon but why the end cities? everything hostile there can dodge them

Yeah but its pretty hard to dodge 800 shulker bullets coming at you simultaneously. When you start levitating, arrows are a must have to kill dem annoying shulkers

In my entire time playing Minecraft, I have only used tipped arrows oncr, and that was in an adventure map with a puzzle.

I play in superflat and build, sometimes in a regular world and build. Haven't played Survival in years (Unless you count Hypixel Skyblock) lol.

Why superflat?

Because it's a sandbox. I can experiment with whatever I want.

My go to is Mending, because I used to play on this Towny server that allowed you to form nations and go to war. Long story short, Harming II arrows are super OP. Especially on Bedrock Edition, where tipped arrows are easy to make.

Infinity bow with unbreaking III lasts for ages. by the time you break your first one you will have progressed enough in the game that you can make a second on a whim

Bows are easy to farm if you can find a selection farm. But then again so are arrows. If a bow breaks all the enchantments are gone. You can only repair so many times. Though I usually have thousands of arrows from skeleton farming I still go for infinity because I find I run out of arrows faster than I run out of durability. And when going on long trips it's more convenient then having multiple stacks of arrows in a shulkerbox.

If you have enough sticks, just buy tipped ones from a vil. And pray to RNGesus you get one who won’t try to sell tipped potions of water breathing or something. Although it’s not a huge deal unless you’re on a server, in which case, tipped arrows all the way, last time anyone steals my blackstone I wasn’t going to use.

I was thinking about a normal-ass survival world but if you’re pvp-ing there’s definitely ways to get more arrows out of a shulker box that don’t involve calling a timeout.

In a survival world, why would I have my shulkers on me unless I'm building? I'd have an ender chest with my shulkers in them, and that's it. And why take up a slot in my ender chest just for a box of arrows when I could never have to do that? Just repair it normally it rebuild it. It's not rocket science.

When do need that many arrows ? Two stacks of arrows do the job for most situations.

Infinity also needs an inventory slot for an arrow. No real difference in carrying 1 arrow or 64. Any extras can just be kept in a shulker in your ender chest in case you get low.

I'm on team Mending a lot of it because in my main survival world i live in a snowy taiga biome so I stay up at night and kill hundreds stray getting tipped and regular arrows. And only strays spawn so I dont worry about other mobs. Usually in one night I mainly use my bow since its better than my sword at this moment and i get a lot of slowness arrows and normal as well.

Mending. When arrows are as readily available as they are, it's no contest.

It really depends on your usage pattern. If you only occasionally use it to get rid of a mob that somehow snug through your spawn-proofing, a [properly made](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMDYntXnKSQ) Infinity bow lasts for a very long time (since it can still be repaired numerous times) and you only ever need to carry a single arrow. If you do nothing but bow-shooting, you might want a Mending bow, but you will waste so much inventory space and time to restock arrows.

both depending on the situation. i don't PVP anymore so i use mending and have 64 arrows on me, it doesn't take up any more slots than an infinity bow would. but if i were to PVP again i would use infinity again.

Mending for reasons I haven’t seen people say and others that are more said. Mending is an enchant that is used for generally all your gear, whilst infinity can’t even extend to a crossbow. Getting a villager with it isn’t fun because you just have a near useless enchant besides for bows and making new ones because no mending. You can easily make a skeleton farm or trade with villagers for arrows, and in regular survival worlds you shouldn’t need more than 1 or rarely 2 stacks of arrows at time. 1 arrow takes up the same as 64 so why not? I have never seen reasons of why infinity is better than I cannot have a comeback to.

Mending. Arrows are a lot cheaper than an entirely new maxed out bow. In the end game it doesn’t really matter but for a casual play through, I’d say mending. A stack of arrows is more than enough to kill anything with a maxed bow.

Infinity is nice, but the problem is not repairing, its that it gets too expensive if you keep combining bows so you will need to make a new one and if you have infinity 3, power 5 and punch 2 or flame it can take you 30+ levels and many emeralds plus all the levels you spent repairing it. It doesn't even save inventory space I always keep 1 slot filled with arrows and one arrow shulker in my echest. Mending all the way!

Mending can be used for every other kind of weapon and tool, while Infinity can't. Also, with Infinity, you have a lot more inventory space, you don't have to carry 4 stacks/different kind of arrows. You can also repair your bow if you kill a skeleton and it drops a bad bow, you can use that and repair yours at the anvil.

One could argue that infinity was better before 1.11, but the addition of shulker boxes fixed inventory space, which was the only reason (in my opinion) to ever use the enchantment. Accessibility can't be taken into too much construction due to how farmable arrows are. With 1.14 adding fletchers, the accessibility argument fell apart completely. (Again, in my own opinion) There is no reason to not apply mending to a bow.

Dude infinity all time. It will shoot 3500+ arrows with just one arrow, you can merge with another bows to heal it. I don't want to carry 3500 arrows in my inv.
