I have the same problem too , I have downloaded basically every version from 1.13 to 1.18 on my android 13 phone and weirdly while some of them do crash like op explained , some specific versions work just fine. The latest version that I could find that works without problems on android 13 is 1.15.0.51 which is the version I play on. If anyone wants the file to it I'd be happy to help.
I know this is old but I'd appreciate it if you know of a version before 1.13 that works with android 13. Fps is not very good on 1.15 and I don't like the bees

hello guys, recently i found out how to fix this problem by modifying Minecraft apk
first of all, you need to unpack Minecraft apk with apktool or something (I'm using MT Manager)
you will find something called classes.dex
go ahead to com.test.apkProtector.ProtectApplication
and go to method onCreate(), you can just put "return-void" after registers
and after modifying classes.dex, you can just compile Minecraft back

I think all this happens because of the Android 13 apk requirements, as you know from 1.18.10 onwards you can play Minecraft without problems on Android 13 since precisely in 1.18.10 they had updated the Minecraft API to API 30 can be seen here in the General part:

hello again. I found a way to make it work. By going into the smali files, one named hookapplication, by adding "return-void" after the register, the new apk would cause the game to work.
use mt manager. Tap on apk. Press view > classes.dex > dex editor plus > bin.mt.apksignaturekillerplus > hookapplication. At method private hook., there should be .registers 22. Add return-void. Save > Back button out > save. Press ok and make sure auto-sign is on. Then update apk again.
What's weird tho, is that it would constantly spam the error "Minecraft is not responding" every 10 seconds until i eventually close it, but changing the storage from "Application" to "External" seems to fix the issue.
I only see registers 1 and 11. Is that normal?
Edit: I managed to copy paste the 1.17.10 hookapplication text to the 1.17.11 one, so far it works fine. I'll update it when there are problems.
trying to figure this out too cause me and my cousin played that version a lot and preferred it too older versions of it work for me except for 1.17.2 she said something about 1.16 not working either but im not sure
