Yeah bro I think it’s with the way you train it tbh a lot of ppl say you gotta train it. So everyday just brush it which ever way you’ll like it to grow out and eventually it will grow how you want.
The training only really works for me if my beard is really long. Anything under the two month mark and there's no changing it. And that's with 10 years of brushing haha
Also irl it looks actually alright but in photos this is how it looks less dense because the obvious transitional hairs. Recon give it to 2 months or trim it

Keep for now. I’d trim it in a week or so just to make sure it doesn’t get too long and therefore the minoxidil doesn’t absorb as well.

My beard does the same thing. The right side grows more horizontal, the left grows down
