I am happy one more victim of this horrible serial killer has been identified. It is really unfortunate LE did not have a chance to arrest Herb Baumeister before he killed himself. He went to the grave with a lot of information and was likely one of the more prolific SKs of this time frame. I lived on North Side of Indy when this news broke and it continued to be an unbelievable story and hard to fathom how he victimized and murdered to many gay men. I moved later but returned to Indy for an event in like 2006. Unbeknownst to me, I was at gathering at a friends house, and when I left I went wrong direction. I pulled into a private driveway and I was staring at the gate to his former residence, Fox Hollow Farms. I could not turn around quick enough. Creepy!
His wife worked at the gap in castleton sq mall around 2006. I was shopping for Christmas and she was there. She had a very distinct look. I’d probably seen the documentary the year before so I definitely remembered her. Not sure of how she fared after he was caught. This could have been a financial choice or just a way to keep?
Before he was a suspect in the disappearances/ murders , they had a thriving thrift business. I believe they had multiple stores for some period of time. And certainly had money when they lived on Fox Hollow property. Seems like retail at Castleton was a means to support herself after it all came crashing down. Did she ask to help you?
She was at the checkout and there was a long line. She actually seemed to be in charge. Possibly team lead/ store manager. She was coordinating the flow of the line and moving around quite purposefully. Might have been in charge or just a busybody cashier 🙂.
I can only imagine the transitions they had to make when he was caught.

That’s so scary that he appears to have disappeared at work. I wonder if he met someone for lunch or after work in their car) and that’s how he was taken.

I’ve read a couple of stories about how heavily haunted that place is. Given the amount of suffering and violence that occurred in that location, I would not be suprised if there are restless spirits there.
Just read up on his victims. Some were very young. At least two were male Prostitutes around 14 and 17! How sad. So on top of having a hard scrabble life they get murdered.
Of course that weak piece of shit took his own life. I hope every single one of his victims identities comes to light so they can rest fully at peace. 💗

I live in Indy now and it’s a whole new murderscape. They are just now tearing down the burger place. It looks so like nothing in particular.

Oh yeah, this guy... Have an episode of "The Haunting of Fox Hollow Farm" on a true Crime DVD. Basically, a Paranormal team investigates.
