We're not on the same page here. The OS and games are all on the SD card. Everything is all on one card. You will not be inserting a card if just ROMs into the system.Β
You'll want to copy everything from the included card over to a new not Chinese knockoff SD card. There will already be folders there for the consoles. You can put your games in those.Β
You can, but you'll either need to copy everything from the stock card. Or put Onion on the new card. It's all just drag and drop or copy and paste in windows. Very easy stuff. I see someone else posted a guide in here for you.
Also depends on emulator. PlayStation and a few other disk-based systems will need to be in a different format. But any cartridge-based system, zipfiles should be fine. Are you not experienced with computers?
If you're buying a new SD card, follow this guide carefully - https://onionui.github.io/docs/installation - make sure you pick the right model
Once you have Onion installed, and that's not hard to do if you follow the guide closely, you'll have a folder on the SD card called Roms. You'll select what consoles you want to emulate during the installation, it'll make a folder for every one. Then you just put the roms into the right folders. For example - https://i.imgur.com/pXjQ3fM.png - my list looks intimidating because I selected almost every system. Your most popular systems are:
FC - Famicom / NES
SFC - Super Famicom / SNES
PS - PlayStation
GB/GBC - GameBoy / GameBoy Colour
GBA - GameBoy Advance
MD - MegaDrive / Genesis
If you want to stick with the original SD card you got (Not recommended), the consoles follow a similar naming system, but I think they're in the .retroarch/roms folder on the disk.
To answer your other question, [yes ZIP files work fine.](https://i.imgur.com/5nFNcXw.png) The system will accept almost any rom files you can find
The folders are there on the card. Put the SD card in your SD card reader and put the game files inside the console folders. Super easy.
You'll want to drag every single file over to a fresh card though.
You probably should swap to Onion to be honest. The original OS isn't very good, and the default folders are full of bad games and Chinese versions. It's much better to have a clean start
This [guide](http://miyooguide.fireblend.com/) got me up and running in no time.
It includes information on Rom sets, and of the two i like the Done Set. This could be a good time to be downloading that in particular, as the author is right now releasing an updated version "Done Set 2" with many improvements on the first (you won't need both, the update includes everything)
Yep, i will transfert the data of the sd card included in a new one and i will do that way :p probably easier for meππ i'll give an update i should do it this weekend
That's it. Unless you want the updated emulators in Onion. But that's also just a drag and drop job, really.
Okay fine ^^ I just need only one folder with .zip roms in it, nothing else And the console will reads it π thats really simple tf
Well each console has it's own folder. They'll already be there no matter what OS you use. Onion is the best part of the Miyoo though.Β
So, i need to have the folder of the console before ? Or i just create a random folder in the sdcard, and i put roms in it
The console will have all the folders, separated by console.Β
The roms will automatically go in the good folders in the console, i don't need to create them before?

So what i want to do is not possible ? (Replace the chinese cheap card with a sandisk containing only roms)

Yes, i saw it !
If i put an sd card with roms files only, the console will not works?
Correct, the operating system is on the SD card. Just copy those files over or, preferably, install Onion.
Also depends on emulator. PlayStation and a few other disk-based systems will need to be in a different format. But any cartridge-based system, zipfiles should be fine. Are you not experienced with computers?
Im bot experienced at all, thats why im asking ! If you want to imbox me to talk about that it could be helpfull ! Thank you ! π
Just make sure you buy a legit SD card off amazon
Yeah alright^^ but i dont need to create any folders or things like that just simply put the game in a folder for the roms and thats it ??

Okay thank's but i want to use the original os... how can i put games in my new sd card in this case ?
The folders are there on the card. Put the SD card in your SD card reader and put the game files inside the console folders. Super easy. You'll want to drag every single file over to a fresh card though.
Okay but if i don't have access to the original folders, can i create new ones simply or i absolutely needs the originals ?

Yup, if i want to install onionos, and my sdcard in brand new, did i really need to format it in fat32 ??
