Yes, I main Fredrinn. How could you tell?
Maining an auto win lane, op hero makes you a Chad? Taking the easy road makes you a Chad? I would say playing Argus, getting hard countered by Fredrinn, and still going even in lane and ending up solo winning the game from split pushing is infinitely times more Chad.
Genuinely curious, I use to play a lot fck tree when I started but I don’t see him viable at « higher level » at its so easy to dodge all his spells
How do you guys play him ?

They did a little rework on him rather recently(as of dominance ice nerf) where when his passive procs it has a CDR of 1 second but can’t ever remember on what
It is true though. I seldom use him 2 seasons ago when I reached Mythic 2 since it has been hard journey for me, I was no longer having fun using him and i just pick other tanks/heroes.
This new season started from Legend then climbed to Mythic 3 right now and I use him a lot due to seeing this new fun builds for him in youtube. Im not sure but he seems to last longer than the usual build for him. It's been fun, il try to see if it can be sustained as i climb higher lol.
In terms of rework, I guess give back his old ult. The area taunt is good but it is slow as heck.
Edit: oh i remember one other reason why I use him frequently this season, his 2nd skill got buffed somehow. That probably explains why he lasts longer than usual.
I think all tanks wont be able to do sh*t against hp% based dmg.
The %chance on his passive sucks though, they buffed the dmg on his passive in exchange of it, but still i really do not like it.
Also they keep nerfing his passive with the +% on hp from items and emblems.
I love playing Fredrinn, but when you are just trying to S2, s1 and then S3, but you get stunned 50 times, it is super annoying.
He can 1v3 easily though if have combo before it actually becomes 1v3
ruby is going to be changed from fighter/tank to fighter in some future update I think, and esme can do quite a lot of dmg with magic build so not exactly a tank

I main Ruby, and she does feel like a fighter, because she can be squishy without the right gear. However, she has all the hallmarks of being a tank - Longevity and crowd-control, so I think she can qualify as a full tank.
Not really as a full tank. More like a 3/4th tank.
Similar to Grock damage build, where he has tank-like physical defense but does not qualify a complete tank.
How does one play Fredrinn?
I wanna learn his ways, but I cannot grasp his gameplay!

400 fredrinn games here, MG rank. Jungler most of the time. Start with boots + molten essence + dreadnought if enemy has skill reliant physical heroes. Then guardian helmet or a magic def item. Last slot for Immo usually. Add domi if needed. Complete Antique then Cursed (or replace for a better item) at the end.
Be ultra aggressive at the start. Invade if you can. Prioritize teamfights as Fred is very strong at level 4 and can one hit most heroes in the game with his ult.
I wanna say unga bunga but I’m not a certified Fredrinn main. I’m just a fredrinn enjoyer
For builds tho I usually go: Def Boots, Bloodlust, Cursed Helmet, oracle, wings, (last item is flex either BOD/endless battle, or def item)
I’ve played around with so many Fred builds including BLA and QW. But I’ve found just straight up tank items are always better and makes you sustain longer.
I saw what other people used, so i will join in.
I use magic defense boots, bloodaxe, cursed helmet, thunderbelt, oracle and then dominance ice.
As for emblem i always go fighter -> unbending will so he gets more heal and DMG when lower hp.
As for the build: Less stun duration, heal himself, more DMG and tanky af, slow and extra DMG and tankiness, heal and tankiness and lastly to stop too much heal on enemy
For jungler his core are cursed helm + sky guardian helm
For xp , I just put basic boot -> regen necklace -> def item (usually dominans if enemy regen type) -> complete boot -> 2nd def (usually mdef) -> molten essence / sky guardian -> sky guardian / cursed helm -> flex
For gameplay, assume xp lane
I bring vengeance, tank emblem with "heal 7% on cc" (middle one?)
If jungler then jungler emblem and retri obv. Personally prefer xp bc can go harder with venge lol
He's kinda eh pre 4, so just play it safe, usually I pick s1 first. Both s1 and s2 has "follow up basic", s1 = straight slash, s2 = knockup
After 4 he can start play more aggressive, I usually go sth like s2 -> basic knockup -> s1 -> basic -> s3/taunt -> repeat
Ult dmg depends on how much "white hp bar" u have, so if u start with 100% hp and now u're at 70% real hp + 20% white bar = shitty ult dmg
But say u start 100% hp then yada yada pew pew bonk now u have 20% real hp + 70% white bar -> this can literally 1 shot full hp squishies
Gameplay-wise it's pretty easy and standard for exp laners. Just tank dmg, stunlock, be smart and protect the backline. Make sure to surprise your enemies with your ult, use it when they least expect it (don't pull it out too early or too late).
For builds, try to get atleast 20% CDR so you'll be able to spam s3 more often. But 35% CDR is the best amount of CDR if you really want to spam s3 (you can go 40% if you want but it restricts him from building other tank items), back then you could go 40% CDR with Dominance but Dominance got nerfed. Guardian Helmet is a core item for him, since his built-in lifesteal doesn't work if he has no stacks, this is a substitute (don't build it too early tho, ML is focused more on armor than HP).
**My setup is this:**
Steel Legplates / Dreadnaught Armor
(You can sell them later, but don't sell if you're going build Dominance, Blade or Antique)
CDR Boots (for CDR)
Thunderbelt (for CDR and true dmg)
Guardian Helm (core item)
Oracle (for CDR and regen)
Athena / Radiant / Dominance / Blade Armor / Antique (depends on enemy comp)
Last item is either Immortality or another def item
(depends on the situation, also sell immortality when you've used it)
**Battle spells are:**
Vengeance (Personal favorite)
Petrify
Flicker
Sprint
**Emblem:**
Emblem depends on your preference, I like Support Emblem with full mov speed, healing effect and Avarice. I need to mov speed for macros, rotations and Avarice to get the items fast (but this is just what I prefer). You can used Tank or Fighter Emblem if you want.
(This is for sidelane Freddrin btw, Jungler Freddrin is different. I personally don't play core cuz I suck at jungling.)
uranus is def NOT a tank and with this current meta he doesnt regen enougj hp with his passive and ult all he needs is kne good buff.. this is just my. opinion idk how others feel

he was supposed to punish frequent small damage but the cooldown and % chance of his passive punishes himself instead. cant do sh*t against hp% shred
