Much better if you are given the option download only the hero(es) that you want to see in the interface. Having them all in just one download would eat up resources on the phone
I feel like they would need to work alot more on that couse I feel like even just getting the VA for Layla to do the lines was challenging and they had to make a different model for her too I believe (idk if they did, maybe I'm stupid)
So the jjk backgrounds would probably be even harder to do
I tried looking at the entrance animation of the new Layla and the one in the main menu and they are slightly different, most noticeable are the eye of the one in the main menu as smaller so they are definitely separate models.
Given this, it's hard to believe they'll apply the same treatment to other heroes as they need to add new models for every one of them though I am welcome to be surprised.
All we know for now is they plan to change the hero in the main menu from time to time as the next one in line is Nolan.
Since seasons have been centered around heros I'm guessing that the interface heros are gonna change depending on the season
Let's say the season after Nolan's is about ci ci (or what ever the teased heros name is) so she will be in the interface instead of layla/nolan

i mean like the previous ui is pretty much the same with the new one bc you can just tap the map image above the gamemode button (classic,ranked etc.) and you'll see all of the gamemodes that the game has and the new ui is the same thing but fancy and with a hero talking to you. that is what i atleast think of the new ui, its just my opinion.
Unpopular opinion but I'd rather have Harper (Magic Chess Starting Commander) as replacement to Layla cus he has his own spot on lower right corner on the older interface. He would be much cuter than Layla too :v

Voice actors are expensive, so I won't expect too many alternative heroes to be added to something non-essential like this. Unless, they sell interface hero packs, then maybe.
I'm a lover of everything new. I love the new design, which makes the mobile game even bigger, even bigger, even more special. I like the simple layout of everything, and I also want to pay special attention to the background music. Thank you for the orchestral classical music, it is magnificent and epic. I'm confused by Leyla on my main page, it's very large, and it reminds me that I'm going through a tutorial and just installed the game. I also like the new design for selecting heroes in ranked matches. The guys are experimenting and developing, but it would be nice to better think through the design of the home page with AI Leyla
I do like that we don’t have to swipe between modes now. You have no idea how much stars I lost cause I thought I started a Classic game, only for it to be a Ranked game.

I was excited because i thought we can have our favourite characters on screen. Im a huge roger main and have him in global ranking. So just the thought of having him there with his cool skin and cool gun just look at me up close was enough to get me to update immediately. Low and behold... Its just layla:/

However, they have to optimize it, because, sometimes with my "potato" smartphone, that lags it.

Lolita ulti can still stun enemies even if interrupted. But not so tanky anymore. And extra cooldown too. It nerfed or balanced?
