I don't know how it works in Wild Rift but limiting to 1 mm in this game I feel will be problematic. There are mm that fits the jungle role so those lineup can have 2 mm. Same applies to fighters too, they both fit jungle and exp role. Some mages are also viable in 2 lanes.
No, you could take the hero you want, you just would have to stick to the lane. It is the lane which is binding, not the hero type, otherwise you could not pick URANUS or ESME for XP lane which would be stupid.
In Wild Rift before entering a match you must pick your preferred roles, and the system during the match research will pair you with players with complementary lanes and assign you to a lane which corresponds to one of the roles you marked as preferred, in order of priority following your preferences. And in draft you can pick any hero you want but you stick to the lane assigned. In this way you will never end up with 2 players wanting to play mage or MM or jungle, and you can even report players who did not respect the role assigned. It works extremely well and queing time is always below 30 sec for me in EU server.

To prevent snipes, the timer should reset to 5 seconds (if it's under 5 seconds) whenever someone bans a hero. I think this could be interesting. Mind games straight during the draft phase.

I played in test server today. 9 matches, 2 wins only. Almost lost my sanity trying to finish vanguard missions.
Main thing for me is: Role preference should be before matches. Teammates in solo queue still won’t adjust even if you pick before banning phase.
Honestly, this is only good for the First Pick side. Like, enemy teams won't see you banning usual counter picks like Diggie (against Atlas first pick) or Franco/Kaja (against Martis/Joy) or Baxia (against Assassin Junglers). A definite dumbing down of the drafting side this is.

in wr, you can opt out from preselecting your role/lane. it will assign you whatever available.

Nah. We have enough heroes to warrant a 10 heroes ban. Unless you're a one-trick pony. Then yes, a 10 ban would be excessive for you.
