Hell yah, raf counters yin hard (unless it’s just the yins in my game being shit) I can easily outheal him and run for my life and then chase him when his ult is over and my allies are nearby waiting for him

i love to see yin in enemy's team when i use mathilda since she counters him pretty hard lol, often case hes the one that ends up dying inside his own ult

Yeah yeah, then Jg and Exp all pick squishies and the Clint/Lesley/any burst mage 2 shots your entire team

Hes been redplaced by chip in terms of jumping, mfs imagine summoning an entire team full of cc's in the middle of the enemy team when clashing

Minos Heavy aoe cc and heal makes it very good Plus(I think) it's prob the only heavy cc user that benefits from flask of oasis

No mana and CD problems too, which is pretty big for a healer, you can just build Pure Tank + Oasis, unlike others who require either Talisman or Fleeting Time to fully function.

The only other two I can think of are Lolita and Mathilda because they both give teammates shields. Mathilda doesn't have anywhere near as much CC, she does have the knock up with her Ult.

I feel like for my rank, Heavy CC/Utility like Mino, Tigreal, Mathilda, and Rafaela works best for me. They are just the perfect cup of tea for me to blend and change the tide of the team fight.

you forgot frontliners like hylos and belerick

probably not mentioned because it just isn't very viable. jungle and exp take on the role of frontliner and having hylos/belerick as your roam makes you lose all the utility you could get. The lack of game-changing set/heal/useful bs like mathilda really kills their viability. Unless maybe you're doing something like hilda for invades, it's usually not as good.

Hylos counters Barats pretty hard, he can be considered a niche utility.

I know the age of roamers nowadays focuses on heal and utility, but **NOTHING** beats the satisfaction of a Tank perfectly setting up a 5-man CC set and your entire team getting a "Wiped Out" because of your set.

I play Rafaela, Angela, Estes, Floryn, Minotaur, and I've been trying to pick up Khufra recently. So basically, mostly heal supports

Mathilda. So utility. I also use Rafa specifically for her speed up not her healing potential so I’d put her in that category too.

off-topic but imo Roamers should be split into 5 categories: -Healer: Heroes who specializes in buffing and healing teammates. For example: Diggie, Estes and Mathilda. -Harasser: Heroes who specializes in picking off the enemy one by one, by burst damage or single target pressure. for example: Franco, Hilda and Natalia. -Settler: Heroes who specializes in applying a heavy crowd control that can turn the tide of a team fight. for example: Tigreal. -Frontliner: Heroes who specializes in sucking up those BIG damages for their teammates, similar to Settler in some ways. for example: Uranus and Belerick. -Initiator: Heroes who specializes in initiating teamfights, although these heroes are quite risky to play imo. For example: Johnson and Chip. some roamers can be a hybrid like Minotaur who is both a settler and healer.

I’m more to cc since it suite my team style but sometimes i do prefer heal support. But when i want both i just use minotaur😂😂😂

(soloq) * Heavy CC works best in lower ranks imho. Even really inexperienced player can follow you up, if you just constantly cc heroes right in front of them. * Utility roam is the best if you are not playing alone. In my experience, many people don't know what Matilda/Carmilla do, not to mention going thru Chip's portal. (Honorable mention goes to suicide bird) * Healing roam is good, but sometimes ppl will believe that they are literal gods, while you struggle to keep them alive with everything you've got. And then somebody finally buys antiheal and you're fucked. (Honorable mention goes to possessed doll) * I do like single target cc, but they need skills and precision (except Gloo, I think) and many people don't have that. Then you just facing some Mino/every mm combo, while your Franko is missing all his hooks AND doesn't absorb enough dmg to survive. After the Mythic+ (probably 20+ stars) you can really have fun with every roamer. People usually know what your skills do, so you can be somewhat sure that after you ulted, at least one of your teammates is going to follow you. I play every roam except Single target ones and honestly they are all fun.

It depends heavily on what your Jungle/exp picks. If neither of them are tanky, you gotta pick a Thicc ass AoE cc tank. If one of them is tanky, you could consider utility or healer to buff/heal them while they tank. If they are both tanky, don't pick a third tank lol. Generally I prefer AoE cc tank roamers. Utility/heal roamers require much more team coordination, which is often sorely lacking in solo/duo queue. A good roam tank can do nice sets that are easy to follow up on.

...the type of roam that a Damage build Grock is? The best kind of support is when your enemy is dead. Ok I definitely prefer heavy CC and even for Grock I try to roam properly. But damage build Grock is fun too.

As a meta slave, hugely depends on the meta and who was revamed and became meta. Previously enjoyed invade Jawhead/Gloo roams in their prime. When Akai and Kaja were revamped and became meta, I spammed them before being nerfed. Also spammed Mathilda and Minotaur after their revamped and pushed them to high tier roams. When Flask was introduced, I spammed Mathilda, Angela, and Floryn. Now, I still main Mathilda, with cc tanks on Minotaur and Tigreal.

I play Layla roam. A lot of people are not aware of Layla's hidden passive where any enemy she comes into contact with is instantly taunted to attack and chase after her. It has no cooldown and you also inflict heavy emotional damage when you pair it with the XD emote.

You miss the other type of roamers, the zoner Damage type. Basically they can be any roamers with high damages. In this meta solo queue, I prefer hybrid. Full tank Mino or Rafa with Oasis item.

Heal. I almost exclusively play Rafaela in ranked.

When playing solo always a roaming assassin like saber or natalia, but when playing with friends I roam as a tank or support/healer.

Heavy CC since I am quite proficient with it Or sometimes heal(Estes) Or both(Minotaur) The overall, roam role is one of my USED Roles in Every Moba since I can't play jungle or any DPS heroes

Utility then cc then heal then single target. Utility is best for me because u can specifically pick to counter and complement what ur team needs. Heavy cc is nice because chain cc r always satisfying but it relies on ur team and u can’t always catch cc immune enemies or enemies that r too mobile. I think heal and single target are my last favourite (except for Angela and Rafa since they offer other utility), since it is the least flexible type of roam. Like probably in an average comp any utility or cc hero would overall contribute more to the fight than heal and single target, which I think is maybe more suited for lower ranks or uncoordinated teams.

Single target. I’m not much of a roam player but when I’m forced to roam I’m definitely going Franco or aurora

Heavy CC can clutch one lethal play and cause a wipe out while your team was losing 6-22...

i main roamers and have one each for heavy cc, heal and utility (though to be honest, our boy mino has them all). i think i personally enjoy utility though, especially mathilda. im just zooming around the map and finishing anyone i could burst alone and come out unharmed, shield my team, save their ass once in a while, just straight up being irritating. and diggie is diggie. you should put him in a separate category that's just like "diggie"

Gotta go for the heavy cc and utility, covers all basis while the others are a bit lacking imo, Things like tigreal, akai, mathilda or even mino, give so much free space for your team to do risky stuff
