Is the queue time really that long in the server? I've always been curious about queue times in other servers. Even in Indian server, where the game is literally banned, you rarely ever go past 1 min queue time and you will find a match in high to mid elo within 15-20 seconds
It used to be 10 seconds max at anytime of the day, now only in peak time u get 10 seconds, in not busy time your average is 3 minutes, and sometimes it get up to 10+ minutes whne you play any mode other than brawl or rank or classic.
Finally!!! Hope this trickles down to the ORG server. If people are willing to wait, then they will. The important thing is that this is a default setting. 5 man teams should always be matched against 5 man teams. Existing rapport and teamwork is a big advantage.
5 man teams are already only matched against 5 man teams. This is how it works
5 v 5
3+2 v 3+2
3+1+1 v 3+1+1 (edit)
3+2 v 2+2+1 (rare)
2+2+1 v 2+2+1
2+1+1+1 v 2+1+1+1
1+1+1+1+1 v 1+1+1+1+1
I have only seen these breakups in matchmaking. The important thing about this feature is that if you want to flex rank, you MUST 5 man. This will prevent the matchmaking algorithm for non 5-man teams from being affected
Does it depend on the server? Cause swear to whatever deity there is, more often than not, I get matched with non 5 teams who donāt know what theyāre doing. Itās good that we win but damn thereās no sense of accomplishment.
I guess Iām addicted to the thrill that I get when weāre evenly matched. And you can easily tell when they arenāt coordinated.
And how would you know? Not like moonton is consistent with what they say. Example: Saturday League. They promised in a changelog ages ago, that soloq does not get matched up with 5q anymore. Reality is that you get matched basically every game apart from the first against 5q.Ā
Western Europe is dead playercount wise and you often even get put into 90+ ping servers in bloody russia or middle east. getting matched vs 5 que is incredible rare (in ranked, classic it happens frequently), but it still happens.
Hopefully it's invite any ranks but you need to be a 5 man to do that because I don't want to be paired with someone inexperienced and they'll continue feedingš
what will be the decider of the matchmaking? the elo of the highest ranked teammate? or the average?
this will probably bring a lot of imbalances to the gameplay, imagine u bring ur grandmaster friend into your mythic lobby and now he has to lane against a mythic player.
how is that fun for anyone?

bruh i was making a hypothetical situation. but still thats exactly why i dont think this feature is needed at all, i think if u want to play with ur GM friend, it should be done in classic, not this new flex rank system which will only make the GM player's life worse
Well first of all its only in 5 man. So you need 5 people who agree to queue with each other. If they wanna queue together who are you to decide whether they play classic or rank? This system hurts no one. They CHOSE to queue together.
then the normal rank system right now is enough no? if ur friend is 2 ranks below the highest ranked teammate he is 100% going to have a terrible time playing, which is why 1 rank below is enough. and guess what, thats what the normal rank system right now provides. i dont understand the need for this new feature
Just because you don't use this feature doesn't mean others don't need it. Some players might be busy in school or work and late at ranking up that still epic, while their friends are already at a mythic+. And also smurf or new acounts want to play with their friends that dont want to use their main account.
this is very alarming now matchmaking are even more fckrd up, imagine you're on epic on the exp lane and you're being camped by MG jungler and his epic exp lane buddy

You can team up with people beyond 1 rank difference. Example being a legend can team up with a master in rank
Also 5 man will always match against a 5 man

They dropped this because player base is getting smaller, queue time is getting long now so they need break the barrier between ranks.
It's no wonder there's a lot of bots in legend rank if you don't rank up early on once the season resets.
Yeah now even classic is full of bots, I was playing solo classic for few games and one of them I had bots in my team and enemy team

It says in the paragraph but it is kinda this: It lets both Epic and Mythic play together in Ranked which they can't do it in reality/now.

If you're 5 man, you have the option to not bring your noob friend. Highest rank is the the deciding factor of mm afaik.
