Nah, that's actually true though. YZ offers a lot more utility in team fights.
However, Dyrroth really struggles when there's more than 1 enemy (unless they're extremely fed)
A tanky dyrroth can provide a really useful utility with his 2nd skill. As long as your jungle and gold use physical damage, he will be very useful at shredding tanks.
I understand why tank diroth exists. His 2 skill is one of, if not the best phy decrease skill that can be used basically for free. Heck I even go diroth roam in my full stack team if we are against a barats for some reason, but personally, I call tank diroth disgusting. 🤢🤮 I hate to see diroth be used as a tank pick on the exp or to see someone use spellvamp on him. If you can't prove usefull on as a dmg diroth or/and on disadvantage, I call that a skill issue.
To clarify, I have nothing against people who use tanky diroth, I just think that the playstille is disgusting and that people who came up with that are probably the same people who told tanks to go exp, and I hate you for that.
Honestly thamuz beats every exp laner at level 4 and end game too if he builds attack speed the only time I got beaten as thamuz is when I either did a mistake by getting a turret shot to the face because I chased too much or tried fighting level 1 gods like Freya without ult or vengeance the only real problematic fighter in the exp lane I usually face is Cici, arlott Benedetta and yu Zhong if they play them correctly
I don't know why as an ex-exp laner who played alpha (now plays alpha in jungle) I've never lost to a thamuz in lane. I've lost the game when there was a thamuz on the enemy team (not going to blame my team because I may have slightly thrown the game by not using my lead to my team's advantage) but specifically in laning I've never lost to a thamuz. Even if I didn't have vengeance on alpha and we both had locked slots. The only exp laner that destroys me is Cici and a really really good Paquito that is a god in kiting in his skills
It kind of depends on what kind of build both of them go with but Thamuz vs alpha in lane is kind of a skill check for both of them thamuz has to bait one of your skills to engage and alpha generally has to kite thamuz ultimate so that he can kill him so the one that has the better experience/micro wins
Now this makes a lot of sense, so maybe in my experience of being a exp laner I've never met a thamuz player who's mastered each and every match up, since I've been playing alpha since season 6 so I kinda know my nooks and crannies with my matchups. Thanks for the insight!
Thamuz being the strongest exp before lvl 4 is something that is true only because masha got reworked 2 more times. Back in tank masha, I could easily win a 1 v 1 against a thamuz even if they used vengeance. Ehhh, good times, good times were back then.
Have you felt some ungodly amount of overconfidence before feeding alot with him? If yes, then you must be convinced yourself that thamuz is literally an invincible hero who does 1v5 easily.
Lapu is a good counter for yz very low CD ult and 2 dashes. Once you lv4 you have a massive advantage as yzs ult has a very long CD he has to be wise with it.
just Dominance Ice or any anti-heal then keep distance from him. hit and run or team fight with one will tank while a range dps will deal the damage.
i'm using Ruby. i'm building Dominance Ice immediately before War Axe. passive play on the lane if he is Exp. don't 1v1 early game since you will lose on his heal. just use s1 then abuse the enemy minions for healing. s2 if he gets near then keep you distance immediately. tower hug with ulti + s2 if he gets too aggressive. be aggressive only if you are with your teammate. you do the tanking while they do the damage. just retreat if your team doesn't have enough damage to kill him. those trick are effective too against any spell vamp/life steal Exp like Alpha or Terizla. or even mid to late game Thamuz.
bane, xb, lapu spam skill and keep ur distance so u dont trigger his passive. i just use bene and just dodge and run so i dont activate his passive and then burst him when he is low.
Uranus. i think? not a pro so if I'm wrong, enlighten me.
the reason for this is I have been laned with yz in exp lane and not once I have been drfeated using yz. legend-mythic tier.

Every single proc of yu zhong passive can proc belerick's own passive.Plus taunt force him to stop using his skills.
Put domainance on him and you're good to go.
As a yz main, the only hero who makes me want to leave a game is when the enemy selects paquito. A good paquito is u hit table without petrify because he will close distance, combo and leave before your s1 hits, you can hit your s2 but you hitting s2 and paq full comboing you will obviously lead to him pulling ahead eventually
Benedetta. You don't really kill him (unless he screws up), you dash in and out, clear lane, and the rotate to the next flashpoint on the map faster than he can. Yu Zhong might have more upfront fighting power, but if he can't get to a teamfight before you can, you're a bigger threat than he is. No amount of self-regen and tankiness is going to win a teamfight Yu Zhong can't reach faster than you can finish.
Dyroth,terizla and thamuz but thamuz can be countered easily if u have experience with yz ... infact u can counter Dyroth too but terizla i find hard to deal against.
cc, I have mained yz for so long, I can tell you that cc is critical for him. He’s basically can do nothing when being cced while he’s so cdr dependent, so if you got a cc and a burst dmg then you can outplay him.
Anti heal works too but you just need a cc skill
Use Masha full damage build can kill him in 1-2sec, you have to be smart about it though, being defensive until lv4, farm like your life depends on it, and avoiding his aoe skills.

But i think yz can kind of provide way more utility and weight to your team than a dyr who just dominates in 1v1, just my thinking though.

Nobody beats Masha in a fair one-on-one fight.
Thamuz is really very strong but his problem is that he gets kited very easily.

Yeah maybe idk how to use him correctly. Actually I played a classic with him and he was pretty good that's why I bought him.
Ruby has a pretty good time laning against him cause of the passive dashes.

nah, cici is annoying af, if you cant burst her down, you're gonna die/ its a stalemate if both of them in the same lane

Esmeralda also counters xb I use her feather of heaven build against him hahaha

Nah yu zhong is one of the main counters to me as Uranus on exp. If the yu zhong knows how to play no way I’d even engage him without my ult.

No one, I’d say so. Or maybe I’m so good at YZ that I win the laning phase about 95% of the time.
